They know the score. No one is making you be a cheerleader for little money. Heck I directed a Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders swimsuit video. Those girls knew what was up they made like $50 a game. Still had hundreds trying out every year.

I just say nix the whole thing. Plenty of hot chicks around football games if that is really what you are looking for.

This is my take. NFL cheerleaders don't do it for the money. They do it for the attention and the benefits of trips and publicity. If it was truly for the team, there would be dudes too like in college. It is eye candy but that isn't a fresh revelation or anything. Been that way for a while and, like you said, they still line up out of the building to tryout. Not much sympathy here but some teams could be in for lawsuits if they truly ignored some of the complaints they way these girls said they did. Everyone loves a good civil suit nowadays.

Apparently, they dress provocatively, are compensated with trips and publicity but very little money, and get groped by old drunk guys as they stroll from tailgate to tailgate.

I mean, I don't like the thought of these girls getting fondled by drunk dudes but have none of them thought to bring it up before now? This whole "That's just what the policy said" crap is BS. Either you value yourself enough to not take that kind of crap or you don't. It shouldn't take a nationwide movement to finally give you the courage to stand up for yourself.

Of course I'm not a lady so I doubt I am permitted to have an opinion about this. #metoo #menarethedevil

Where do I sign up? (To be one of the old drunk guys)

Living in South Florida, I always go to a few spring training games. The first game I took my daughter, we get a foul ball by Eddie Murray. We walked down to the right field corner as he's doing his conditioning work once he was removed from the game and he was signing autographs. This dealer was in front of us with a carton of about a dozen balls and he referred to Murray as Eddie Murphy. Murray said, "you can go to the end of the line and I might sign your baseballs later".

Murray had a reputation as being a bit surly, but it was hilarious when it happened.

That's a great story. If I were in the athlete's shoes, I am thinking that I would limit my signing to one item and that is all.

I’m a pro-business guy, but I like this move. The need to separate political power from business gain is of paramount importance, even if just for perception and to reduce suspicion.

I have a feeling this has more to do with Denark’s state contracts than sex week. They just used sex week as an excuse.

on Jubran: We hope that his exit from this is not a scheme to appoint him UT's next President and privatizer-in-chief. We need to know why this happened."

At this point I wouldn't put anything past the Haslam family but it seems like we've turned a corner and the state of Tennessee is getting it's university back.

They saw an angle and used it. I'm sure they are sick of that sex week crap embarrassing us though. Such a disgrace.

Raja Jubran withdrew his name for the same reason people settle lawsuits-- they don't want the scrutiny and want to keep certain things from being exposed. Some of the lawmakers developed a spine, helped along by unhappy constituents and their campaign funding.
