It’s pretty amazing with the amount of good baseball players in Tennessee that we have sucked for 10 years.

I agree. I feel there are similarities between baseball and football though. We recruit competitvley in both, but we are perpetually rebuilding. We play such a tough schedule we constantly get knocked onto the mat and can’t build any momentum to get back off it. We are a bottom 3 program in both sports in the SEC during the last 10 years.

What makes it even worse is we hired a proven winner and champion in Serrano and still couldn’t even come close to being back in the middle of the pack even.

I am not up on it all, but I think that there have been a couple of factors. One is probably partially coaching, but I know Vandy has an inherent recruiting advantage. Baseball is Uber competitive in the SEC. You can have a decent team and miss out on the postseason.
