Ok so I’ve been reading up on Assad’s denial of these attacks this morning. This isn’t MSM saying it. It’s our current and previous administrations. It’s the U.N. ( ok not a credible source I know ) its many other foreign powers making the same claims.

So everybody has it wrong and he’s just a peaceful misunderstood mild mannered opthamologist? How...

The media gets their talking points from the govt. Of course the previous administration is going have a hard on for Assad.

So who did it Russia? Iran? The rebels? Who controls the stockpiles. It’s factual the Syrian government posses these weapons. It’s factual the attacks did happen. It’s either Syria of one of their guest powers. So how does that absolve Syria of direct responsibility or by proxy?

Now Mattis Admits There Was No Evidence Assad Used Poison Gas on His People

Trump Threatens Putin, "Animal Assad" Over Syrian "Chemical Attack"; Russia Warns Of "Grave" Response If US Launches Strike

Remember when the US admitted Syrian "Rebels" have used chemical weapons? Or when earlier this year, now former Secretary of State blamed Russia for an alleged Syrian chemical attack despite admitting he doesn't know who actually did it? Or when the US finally admitted there was "no evidence" Assad used sarin gas? Or just last week, when Trump said that the US is finally pulling out of Syria as a result of the defeat of ISIS (much to the Pantagon's fury and open-ended timetable for extracting Syrian resources)?

Well, maybe you do, but the neocons back in charge of US war preparations foreign policy - now that war hawk John Bolton is Trump's National Security Advisor - are so stuck with the age-old narrative that Assad is desperate to be bombed at any cost, that none of this actually matters, and instead the big story overnight is once again that, lo and behold, Assad decided to gas some "rebels" again, despite now overwhelmingly winning the war against US-backed insurgents, and despite knowing very well that exactly one year ago an alleged "chemical attack" prompted Trump to launch dozens of Tomahawks at Syria.

It’s more parties than just what you highlighted Ras. Huff linked an actual admission from Mattis that we have no proof. Ok I’ll taje that we don’t know. But we don’t know is a huge leap from absolution Ras. See my post above.

Russia, Iran nor Syria have anything to gain from this. The US was making measures to pull out and the Syrian and Russia forces have the rebels on the ropes. The only entity that would gain from this would be those that are itching to get a war started over there and overthrow Assad, by any means necessary it appears.

Then who the hell is doing it? Santa Claus?!

The first time there were suspicions the rebels had hidden chemical weapons that Assad accidentally detonated. Others thought it was an inside job by Russians or (intelligence from somewhere else), trying to goad the US into a quagmire. Probably some fringe opinions on it that would be fun to look into.

While any of those may not seem that likely, the first one seems a hell of a lot more likely than Assad doing it purposefully. The last thing he wants is for us to get involved.

So this is a grand scheme orchestrated by the rebels to drag us into their civil war of their creating because they are currently getting their asses kicked?!

Will you two please look up “Ockham’s Razor”?

That seemed reasonable at the time, as well.

Think closer to home. Langley, Va, in particular. They have the motive and the means. Or MI6, Mossad, Saudi Arabia/certain Gulf States.

Oh I have no doubt whatsoever the Christians In Action are involved. This is right up their alley. No way they pass up a shot at playing in a good old fashioned civil war or regime change.

Orchastrating it? C’mon man...

I don't think these so-called "rebels" are actually Syrian freedom fighters at all, but are mercenaries and assets from various intelligence agencies to destabilize Syria. Qatar and the Gulf States were huge players in this at one time because they needed to get their pipeline through Syria so that it could reach the Mediterranean ports and European markets. This source of energy was supposed to undermine Russia's influence in Europe's energy markets, along with the US providing LNG for sale to Europe, as well. But when Assad wouldn't play along with the Gulf States agenda, he had to be overthrown.

The entire Benghazi scandal was based primarily on getting weapons used in Egypt and Libya by the Muslim Brotherhood and the terrorist groups in North Africa and transporting those weapons into Syria via Turkey. Facts. Our govt was behind these weapons transfers and were elbows deep in the transfers and arming of "rebels" in Syria.

Dude, these are facts. No one can dispute this.

Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi Debacle: Arming Jihadists in Libya . . . and Syria - National Review

As U.S. armed forces attack ISIS in Libya, WikiLeaks is poised to remind us that ISIS is in Libya — indeed, that ISIS is ISIS — thanks to disastrous policies championed by Hillary Clinton as President Obama’s secretary of state. Also raised, yet again, is the specter of Mrs. Clinton’s lying to Congress and the American people — this time regarding a matter some of us have been trying for years to get answers about: What mission was so important the United States kept personnel in the jihadist hellhole of Benghazi in 2012?

Specifically, did that mission involve arming the Syrian “rebels” — including al-Qaeda and forces that became ISIS — just as, at Mrs. Clinton’s urging, our government had armed Libyan “rebels” (again, jihadists) to catastrophic effect?

It has been less than two weeks since WikiLeaks rocked the Clinton campaign on the eve of the Democratic convention by leaking hacked e-mails illuminating DNC efforts to rig the nomination chase in Clinton’s favor. Now the organization’s founder, Julian Assange, has announced that WikiLeaks is soon to publish highly sensitive government e-mails that demonstrate Hillary Clinton’s key participation in efforts to arm jihadists in Syria. Just as in Libya, where Mrs. Clinton championed the strategy of arming Islamist “rebels,” the Syrian “rebels” who ultimately received weapons included the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda, and ISIS.

Was Syrian weapons shipment factor in ambassador’s Benghazi visit?

Operation Ajax? Operation Gladio? The "Cars International A" has a history of this... yes, orchestrating.
