So I’ll say it. I never was a fan of the baby blue on the Titans’ shoulder pads so the new gray shoulders are a big upgrade. Also, I always wished they had more red, so even if it’s just a red swoosh, I’ll take it. Love love love the color rush baby blues for whatever reason. Maybe because it looks very Oiler-ish and gives me visions of Warren Moon.

Hate the number font, but all in all I like it better. We remain the Flamin’ Thumbtacks so there’s that.

Liked for TMQ reference.

Always thought the titans color scheme and logo was meh.... anwyays I’m headed back to Lonely Lodge.

Man I’m so pissed playing high explosives doesn’t count towards explosive kills on battle pass (sorry I know off topic)

Rogers was much better as a pure WR. Not nearly as dynamic, though. But CP still doesn’t even know how to run routes. For every play he’d take a pitch and make 7 defenders miss, there’d be one where he ran the wrong route and screwed up a play.

If I had Dobbs and Kamara, I’d take CP and have him on a jet sweep look every play like Bahamian did with Pig back in the day. If I took one of the pocket passers at QBs, gimme Rogers.

Rogers wasn’t better than CP at all imo. If he was Rogers would’ve been at least drafted and did something the league.

Rogers had better receiving stats with a worse QB situation. CP is undoubtedly the better athlete, but purely as a WR Rogers was better. He might still be kicking around on an NFL roster somewhere if he weren’t so unhinged personally. He started more NFL games than the Stanford QB you were talking up the other day ever started.

All things considered, CP probably should be the guy taken between the two because football isn’t played in a vacuum and Rogers personality flaws ultimately undermined whatever potential he had. Despite all that, though Justin Hunter is the only WR we’ve had who had a better season receiving than Rogers in the last decade (and that was despite half a season of Matt Sims and a true freshman Justin Worley being his QB).

There’s way more guys in the nfl that have worse personality red flags and baggage than Darrick. So that isn’t a factor in him not being drafted or not being on a roster anymore.

Rogers 2011 season was a product of him being the only WR on the team for 90% of the year. Not taking away from him but he got the volume and defenses weren’t scared of him to bracket and cap him. The bulk of his also stats came against Montana, Buffalo, Cincinnati and MTsU.

CP isn’t in the league because he is a good WR. He is in the league bc he is a freak athlete.

People can set the range at whatever they want but people born in the early to mid 80's aren't from the same planet as what I think of when someone says millenial.

Just because there are guys with bigger red flags still playing doesn’t mean Darick’s personal issues aren’t a factor. That’s a false equivalency and an obtuse conclusion. Rogers had all the tools to be a productive NFL WR. He was top 5 in like 5 categories at the NFL combine. The only thing that kept him from being drafted was his character issues. He even had a decent game or two before being cut from the Colts for a DUI.

If you think his personality issues weren’t an issue in him not getting drafted or sticking on an NFL roster, then you’re smoking more weed than Darick did while he was in Knoxville.

Rogers absolutely benefited from being the only WR in 2011, but he was basically the only WR threat we had down the strech, had terrible QB play, and still had decent production against teams like UGA, LSU, Arky, and Vandy.

A bunch of his stats came against cupcakes, but he had two 100 yard games against SEC schools that year. Hunter ever went over 100 yards against an SEC school 3 times in 3 seasons. Once against Missouri in 2012 and against UGA and Ole Miss in 2010. CP only went over 100 yards receiving once, against Troy (though his rushing yards brought him over 100 all purpose yards basically every game). Good WRs should being beasting out in games against G5 and FCS schools. No need to hold that against him.

When guys like Janoris Jenkins, Marcus peters, joe mixon, tyreek hill, etc are being drafted and playing in the league which Darrick’s “red flags” aren’t even comparable to then I’m not buying that it kept him from drafting and still being in the league. He was a good player here. Nothing more for me.

The way your looking at this is flawed by confirmation bias. There are basically two kinds of character issues you see in NFL players:

1. Off the field issues that may result in a guy missing some time here and there, but don’t interfere with him coming in day in and day out and taking care of business for the most part.

2. Character/motivation issues that keep a guy from taking advantage of his potential, putting in the work, and/or being productive on any consistent basis.

Coaches and GMs can and will overlook the first category if a guy has enough upside (especially if they have someone like a former coach who’s willing to vouch for them or they have elite skill sets like some of the guys you mentioned). Guys who fall into the second category get much less slack. Darick is definitely in that second category.

Even if he’d kept his nose clean, he probably never projected as much more than a mid to late round pick. But character issues got him kicked off the team at TN and no coach he’d had at Tennessee or TTU had anything but awful things to say about him. He was all of the bad stereotypes about selfish, lazy WRs rolled up into one guy and he had substance abuse issues to boot.

Tennessee Vols football recruiting: Tennessee offers Arkansas WR Jadon Jackson

Three-star junior wide receiver Jadon Jackson of Bentonville West High School in Centerton, Ark., posted Wednesday night on his Twitter account that he received a scholarship offer from Tennessee.

“Honored to officially receive my 11th D1 offer from the University of Tennessee!! #GoVols @CoachOsovet,” Jackson tweeted, referring to Joe Osovet, who works in player development under new Vols coach Jeremy Pruitt.

It was the second SEC offer in less than a week for the 6-foot, 175-pound Jackson, who picked up an offer from Ole Miss on March 29.

He also holds Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Indiana, Memphis, Louisiana-Lafayette and Tulsa. He picked up his first offers in April 2017 from Tulsa and Arkansas.

The Vols also extended offers Wednesday to two Class of 2020 prospects.

Three-star defensive lineman Octavious Oxendine of North Hardin High School in Radcliff, Ky., and defensive tackle/offensive lineman Dominic Bailey of Wicomico High School in Salisbury, Md., posted on their Twitter accounts Wednesday that they picked up offers from Tennessee.

It was the first SEC offer for the 6-foot-2, 265-pound Oxendine, who also holds offers from Louisville and Purdue.

Louisville gave Oxendine his first offer in June, and Purdue followed suit in July.

“Blessed to say I have received my first SEC offer from THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE #GoVols,” Oxendine tweeted, later referencing Tennessee wide receivers coach David Johnson and quality control analyst Brandon Deaderick.

The 6-foot-4, 277-pound Bailey, who has yet to be rated by 247Sports and in the 247Sports Composite, holds offers from Georgia, Penn State, Maryland and Rutgers in addition to Tennessee.

Georgia and Penn State both extended offers to him last month. Maryland gave him his first offer in December.

“Blessed to receive (an) offer from Tennessee,” Bailey tweeted.

According to Octavious Oxendine's Hudl he's actually 6'3" 305lbs and judging from the pic and video that seems more accurate. Also, nice shout out to quality control analyst Brandon Deaderick in the tweet. Whoever that is. Haha I guess he played at Bama and in the NFL for a while, I just don't remember him.

Bailey has a pretty impressive offer list for an unranked guy.

There's also 2 kinds of prospects in the NFL. The kind that have displayed that if they can overcome the off field stuff they are game changers. And the kind that if the can overcome the off field stuff may be pretty good. Apparently the GM's didn't think his upside out weighed the risk. He had potential but he never fully displayed he could be a game changing player. IMO.

Very much agree with this analysis

He never fully displayed that he could be a game changer because he was lazy and didn’t want to put in the work.
