Nope..can't afford it. But I'm not a multimillionaire.

So you’re on Medicaid? The best way to lose a million is to front a whole family’s medical expenses out of pocket for a spell. My stepdaughter’s childbirth alone had a price tag over $60,000. My sister-in-law has prescriptions that cost $6000 a month. Basic stuff. Glad you don’t have to live in this world. :good!:

It’s funny how a different approach gets embraced for simply being different. Taggart plays music at practice and the fans love the fun atmosphere. Jimbo STOPPED the music at A&M practices and the fans love the serious business approach. Pruitt stops the music at our practices...:)

Where has Larry been? Not seen anything from him in a while.

On VQ a poster said he communicated that he was taking a break from following football and concentrating on golf...but he had posted 3 minutes earlier. :)

Seems like Rumph has really been on Austin Smith this spring. Hopefully they can get something out of him. Kid definitely has potential, but I wonder if maybe the previous staff was too hands off with him. He showed promise his first semester on campus, but then ate himself into a DL and never seemed to be able to get and stay healthy.

Kind of makes me wonder what exactly was going with him in the S&C program before.

My finacial situation is bad right now, I am a poor person. I don't have any insurance since I lost my job. I am not against insurance, and I really don't even know what we are arguing with me about. I do know that I could buy insurance for a few hundred a month, so I have no idea why a multimillionaire would spare much thought to getting a job just to have insurance...I think I would just buy some.

Bill Haslam appointed the board members that tried completely finishing off UT football. And they are as close as can be with the governor as Celina pointed out.
Don't know what the guy's problem is you're debating but Bill Haslam had everything to do with the crap that just went down and plans to do more by removing the opposition.

There's really nothing to debate.

I guess we need to recruit the Avengers to fight the omnipotent Haslam family who will forever reign and rule over the state of Tennessee with an iron fist. And that because of who they are and what they do the university should just stop having a football team.

I get they are a very influential family, but some of you act like Bill will be governor forever and there is no hope for anything he has enacted to be altered or changed. He is out of office next year and if his policies aren’t working they will be changed, it’s really that simple IMO....I might be wrong though.

Regardless, I will sleep well tonight, the sun will come up tomorrow and I’ll still enjoy Tennessee football regardless of who is governor or the legislation they pass that MIGHT (potentially, possibly in some way) effect Tennessee athletics.

The Haslams aren’t anything to me. And I’m not defending them as much as I’m saying that the impact on Tennessee athletics some of you all are giving the legislation is ridiculous. I’d probably be saying the same thing regardless of the governor.

Plus, some of you all act like the Haslams are the only influential people in this state or associated with the University of Tennessee and what Bill Haslam does or says as governor will last for eternity.

But as someone said earlier, it’s much easier to blame everything on the Haslam bogeyman.

You have your hands over your eyes.

You are a blind sheep

If you have preexisting conditions like diabetes, you can’t. ObamaCare was trumpeted as not allowing that to be held against you but that’s for employer obtained only. After my wife died, I had to subsidize my daughter’s insurance out of pocket whilst I relied on the VA. No one accepted what I had purchased. The insurance that you can simply purchase that covers squat after a deductible is hefty. I was pretty secure financially and I took a huge hit. Sold my business and working as a contractor. Wasn’t a millionaire but your view is unrealistic. You know simple millionaires want to live a while, right? We’re not really in an argument. You’re stating that taking a job that has free insurance attached is stupid for anyone that has a net worth in 7 figures. Ancillary costs can tap you. Large numbers of millionaires don’t pass away with that status. My COBRA costs per month were $1600 btw

Why are people okay with a bunch of sociopathic oligarchs running government at any level?

Not many governors care enough about college sports to pass corrective legislation. But that was already explained to you.

Haslams appointees will remain long after his term is gone. But that was already explained to you.
Whether you are willfully or unintentionally ignorant of these facts, you just repeat the same uninformed remarks.

And for someone that sleeps just fine regardless of Haslam, you spend an awful lot of time being triggered whenever a few guys on a message board speak ill of him.

Some posts from a poster on VQ who watched practice today...

James Brown was impressive today. CFA looked good at corner imo. He looked lost at times. Still learning the position.

On Grant Williams...Thought it was interesting that GW stayed the entire practice and was intently watching.

Brown maybe move to LB? He looked like the best TE today. I’ll add too that he’s not built like a LB at all.

Brown ran with the first team today in 11 personnel. If they were in 21 personnel then Eli Wolf was at TE and Brown at the FB/H-back. Bumphus and Blakely worked on the side today after individuals.

I thought Fant looked solid at RB. He was the second back in after Chandler. Coleman seems to be the third back right now. Jordan was dressed out but didn’t do a whole lot given his surgery.

Taylor and Smith did some nice things against the run. Both were starters at OLB. Allen looks lost right now but his athleticism is very evident. He ran with the second team.

Shamburger is the only one I noticed running the star position.

My overall thoughts were there are some nice pieces on this team. First eleven on both sides looked solid but there is absolutely no depth on this team. Deep at LB and safety. WRs look deep. That’s it. TE has numbers but not quality bodies with what this staff wants to do. Staying healthy is a must for this team. Overall though I think Pruitt runs a much better practice than Butch. Whole staff is much more intense and they players are adjusting. You can tell they aren’t use to this type of coaching. The VQ staff literally sees nothing during their portion. I stood right next to AP for like two minutes and then they were asked to leave. I will say I really like our offensive scheme and what this staff wants to do.
