Just what happens when people stop lending to the US? Are we going to borrow from Mexico for the wall? Are we going to borrow from UAE and Israel for our Military? I really don't know why countries still give us money.
They wont. US debt is the gold standard of the world currently. And to not acknowledge it and pay it puts Congress in violation of our Constitution. I give you the 14th amendment section 4
The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned...
Pretty compelling. For Congress to not insure the nations debts are paid puts them at odds with the Constitution. Think about that the next time a shutdown looms
