I'd put it ahead of college baseball (sorry guys) but I haven't decided yet since underwater basket weaving sounds interesting. Could be as surprisingly addictive to watch as curling. :)

The LVs are still in it and are favored to win tomorrow. So that's another thing to complain about for those who don't think we already have enough.

Curling is the only winter sports worth watching😉

The problem with the LVs right now is that Holly makes it a foregone conclusion that won't win it all. That makes it hard to get behind them.

It's awesome. In fact, we're so bad at baseball we should think about adding curling, rifle, and equestrian in its place. Surely we could be good at those things.

If Tennessee had a team, I might be interested. Since they don't and it involves sweaty men grabbing each other in uncomfortable places, I will have to pass. I don't mind you talking about it here, though.

In fairness, that's true of a ton of men's sports. College wrestling is such a regional sport tho that it would be hard for it to catch on here even with a team. The midwest has always been wrasslin' crazy at every level.

Unfortunately, the men didn't win it all, either, and they had an easier path. The LVs won't do any worse than MBB did, despite their lack of coaching. I'm all-in on any UT team that can win. I'm sick of losing.

Once did (pre-Title IX) [aka sports killer] and has multiple national champions. They have a club team right now but the coach is a douche (if it's the same coach when I wrastled in college) and it won't be a scholarship team anytime soon

Title 9 has never killed a sport. All it required was an equal number of scholarships. The university could add more sports if it wanted to but it doesn't want to.

Barring the university deciding to keep adding scholarships, football is the real issue. It sucks up all the men's scholarships but we all like football better. Convince UT to add more scholarships and you can have your cake and eat it too.

I remember. It was a scholarship sport in the 80's when I was there. I was friends with one of the wrestlers. It sucks that it is not a scholarship sport any more.
