Official March Madness Thread

I was baffled by so many big media personalities picking Michigan State to cut down the nets. They had what, 4 Q1 wins?

Just like media personalities picked us to finish 13th and Arizona preseason #1. Then even after the regular season, they pick us to lose and Arizona in the finals 4

The media doesn’t know anything more than any of us do.

In fact they probably know less

Pearl so dramatic in his interviews

Cringe worthy

Not this time, imo. He told the truth, they played like crap on offense. But, they played hard, especially defensively. 6-1 for the SEC. Impressive. I'm going to root for Cuonzo and all the SEC teams, except Kentucky and Florida. F"ck the Cats and Gators.

Bruce joking around with the studio guys and saying, "this one was for Charles" was pretty funny

I refuse to root for Pearl and Auburn, or any other SEC team for that matter.

How does it benefit UT?

Boy, Auburn’s lucky that Charleston can’t shoot free throws.

to be fair, Auburn couldn't either. They only shot 48% from the line for ****s sake.

All around terrible game from both teams. Neither really deserved to win, but Auburn fortunately had just enough to finish ahead, but of course, it'll just be overlooked with the missed foul there at the end. :glare:

Auburn just isn't the team they were a month ago. They'll get blown out next game if they don't get their **** together.

I'm the same way, in football, but I mostly root for our conference in all the other sports. The exceptions, Cats in basketball, Florida, Georgia and Bama in everything

Never understood the SECers. Wouldn’t care if every other SEC team lost every postseason game they ever played.

At the end of the day, outside UF I'll cheer for anyone else in the SEC. I have faith in UK that regardless of how good everyone else is, we can be just as good. I'd rather compete and be in a group of killers, rather than compete against a bunch of nobodies. That was always my mindset when I played and it's the same when I watch basketball now.

He did. just grazed it, but he did.

First replay they showed (from behind), it looked clean, but on the 2nd replay (from the front), it was pretty
obvious.

Ahh maybe that’s it. I only saw the first replay from behind where it looked clean.

It was egregious. Refs clearly paid off by the same people paying Auburn players

I generally like my conference to be the overall strongest. That way, when Tennessee (or Auburn) are playing great in conference play, I know it's legit teams they are being dominant against. If my team is going to succeed, I want it to be against the best of the best.

Just my opinion personally. There are some exceptions like Bama, or UGA, depending on who they're playing, and it's a bit different in football than in other sports. I'm quite happy to see a strong showing from the SEC this year in basketball though.

This UVA-UMBC game is why I was glad UT ended up in the Cavs region. If u play smart offensively and hard defensively, like the Vols do, the Cavs are very beatable

Of all the basketball games I’ve ever watched, this UVA-UMBC game is one of them.
