Does 15 year old Peter Wang deserve full military burial?

I'm guessing when they stick the needle in Nidal Hassan's arm and kill his peace loving islamic ass he won't get military honors.

I will bet his religious concerns are respected though. They should throw his body out in the desert and let the buzzards eat him.

Buzzards gotta eat! same as worms!!!! - YouTube

So let’s talk about this shooting for a minute. You have a concentration of highly skilled weapons experts whom are DISARMED by regulation (you only bear arms on a military base if you have a specific duty reason to do so I believe) and thus creating a gun free zone and voila one nut job takes a bunch of them out even!!

Probably the wrong thread. Sorry for the hijack just popped into my mind.

Was his name really "Peter Wang"?

That's just.... damn.

Big ups to this kid for his actions - it doesn't hurt me for him to get a little love from the military.

Put out a request within active duty military and solicit volunteers for the honor guard. I'll bet the phones will blow up.

20+ years ago when I was still in high school and in JROTC we actually had an honor guard that did funeral services locally. It's been too long ago and I don't remember why we were doing it and not actual military units, but I remember doing maybe a dozen during my So-Sr years. My understanding from a few articles I've read on this kid is that for a full fledged military honours funeral the military covers portions of the funeral expenses or supplies certain things like the marker. I don't know that all that should be done since after all he wasn't actual military, and resources are limited, but I don't see anything wrong with his JROTC unit or a volunteer unit from a local guard or ROTC unit serving as an honor guard and performing just a simple ceremony.
