Mass shooting of the week, high school in parkland, FL.

Everyone who believes this is true, which seems to be a lot of you, is exhibiting how wrong you can be about the intentions of the other side.

But, we kind of already knew that.

Oh I’ve already nailed you intent a couple of posts back at least with this thread.

You came in with it all figured out with your X Y logic... until you didn’t have it figured out. It was immediately attacked by firearms KNOWLEDGEABLE people on just how flawed it is. I didn’t say reasonable because you’re beyond reason.

And you’ve been trying to walk back, sell, otherwise rationalize that X Y tripe in here ever since.

It's mass production food anymore. For good BBQ you need to go to places you are afraid to eat in. Look for Roadway, UPS and similar trucks parked around a hole in the wall.

Wasn’t aware and thanks for the heads up. Pretty sure I ate at Corkys last time I was in Memphis but that was close to a couple of decades ago.

Meh. One and only is better imo. There a couple of places in Memphis that are good. But I think there is better to be had in West TN in general.

Germantown Commissary is consistently good which is hard to do with bbq. Tops is hit or miss depending on the day they cook. BBQ Shop is mediocre. Central bbq is consistently awful but is popular due to heavy marketing. I’ll have to check out In & Out.

I've read the articles. Right, wrong or indifferent - I'm not shooting a rifle inside my home with kids all over the place. My perception is reality, I feel more comfortable with a 12 gauge in cqb - I'd be less apt to stop and worry about the direction of the lead heading towards my offspring. Freeing me up to go John Wick on unsuspecting baddies.

Did you read the Lamb article? As he said if you want to use a pistol or shotty that's fine. Become proficient, remember to get some practice time in when you can, rock on.

The problem isn't with what platform one prefers...it's when people start dismissing a different platform based on incorrect information and bias. Everyone that dismisses the AR platform and 223/5.56 as a viable defensive CQB weapon is doing so from a position of ignorance.

I can understand and appreciate a personal choice in the matter. As long as you know there is science and testing behind it.

Lord only knows I wouldn't want you to be a science denier.

Central used to be good. A and R BBQ on EP was good when I lived in Memphis.

Another interesting concept.

So when innocent kids or anyone else for that matter die at the hands of evil holding a non "scary" gun your response will be?.....a shrug of the shoulders and "it could have been worse without this law in place for the soon to be (if not already) criminal to abide"?

Its almost like this is not as much as about innocent death as some claim.

I agree about the Commissary and Central. I only go to tops for the cheeseburgers.

There are a few decent dive places left that have good BBQ in Memphis but they are few and far between. One of my customers, a life long Memphian thinks Corky's is great.

I saw one of those Food Network/Cooking Channel shows, Man Fire Food maybe? Anyway, old school BBQ lady in Brownsville. Can't recall the name though.

There is a little place near the state line off Airport Road, might even be in MS. Looks like a dump but the food is awesome. There is another place off an offshoot Fulton Industrial Blvd in Atlanta, cinder block building a couple pick-nick tables and the food will make you slap yo mama.
