Trump refers to immigrants from Haiti and Africa as being from s***hole countries.

I find it mildly humorous that people who disapprove of the President's comment are viewed by some as elitist...

I mean, you have the leader of the wealthiest country on earth looking down his nose and calling whole countries ****holes while also wondering why we can't get folks from Norway...you know, insinuating that people in Norway want to come here, lol.

It really doesn't get any more elitist than that, does it?

Facts are my boo. I’m not afraid of them. It’s humorous that off all things to get pissed about with him you all get butthurt over telling the truth.

As far as “anyone” else, I would love it if our previous president told the truth.

I'm sure everyone who is upset with Trump are rushing out to take in families from these countries right? At least they are going to donating to one of the million charities that exist to help bring them up from poverty as they apparently are incapable of doing it themselves right?

I bet Outerbanks has already sold all of his earthly possessions and is currently on a flight to Tanzania to open an orphanage for all the abandoned and mutilated albino children. Gonna turn that country around I bet! Show the world that albino kids are good for more than magic potions and good luck charms!

I love the left. All rage and no action (unless its looting their own neighborhoods)

Breaking News...In response to President Trump calling Haiti a “$hithole,” the Haitian government notified the US State Department that they will no longer be providing financial support to the United States...developing.

Norway is a first world country. There is no real reason to leave to the USA unless you want better weather.

Whats racist about it?

If someone points out the lowest literacy rates in the world are in those two areas is that racist?

what about highest rates of infant mortality?

Or they have the lowest life expectancy in the world?

Or the highest death rates in the world?

Or the most people with AIDS?

Or dying from AIDS?

Highest risks for infection diseases of all kinds..

Sky high unemployment..

The most malnourished children...

Just because you disagree with facts do not make them any less factual nor "racist". The truth hurts and a lot of people cannot handle the truth. Being incapable of understanding reality they live in a little fictional world where everyone is equal and can achieve and world peace is imminent, etc, etc..

What is racist is thinking that predominantly White countries have to keep helping the non Whites out because they can't do it themselves.

In a meritocracy, we help each other. Most people in the U.S. would probably consider Kolkata a s***hole but without any immigrants from India? Microsoft and NASA as well as hospitals across the country would sure have a hell of a lot of jobs to fill.

I'm sure that Trump was thinking of these exact points and then cited these things when he made the comment.

He has no appreciation for just how much high skilled immigrant labor there is in the United States. I mentioned India in an above post: There are over 40,000 doctors from India working in the United States and 36% of NASA scientists are from India. Trump would be clueless to that.

BREAKING NEWS...

Sources tell me that no President in U.S. history, much less any D.C. politician in history has cursed or said anything derogatory inside White House or Congressional walls...not until Trump arrived, had the word **** been said in any shape form or fashion.

This folks, is a national and global travesty !

Basically the only thing not $hit#y in Haiti is a cruise port built by Carnival Cruise lines.

I believe the offensive quote that created the crying is "shi/hole nation's."

So answer, is that an inaccurate assessment?

It's fair to say that most Americans (who are prone to using profanity) would refer to Haiti that way but that's also not the full context of Trump's comment. He said, (paraphrasing) "Why do we want these people from s***hole countries coming here?" He is not just being critical of Haiti as a place to live (crude but okay, I guess), he is using his opinion of their country to exclude them as immigrants to the U.S..

I always find it interesting when people try to claim the founding fathers stood for diversity. Breaking news people..everything they talked about was for White men only.

While it may hurt your tummy, his question has some merit.

But India also has a long standing system of education and even one, if not the oldest, universities in the world. So it isn't that far of a stretch to see them do well. Then of course there is the British colonialism that helped.

That being said India is still a sh!thole turd world country with massive human rights issues.

...but it contradicts his own prior sentiments on immigration. Trump is on record as saying that immigration should be handled as a meritocracy. Simply looking at the country of origin alone doesn't achieve that. Norway has lazy and uneducated people too.
