Trump refers to immigrants from Haiti and Africa as being from s***hole countries.

The press and 1/2 the population didn’t hang on every word previous presidents uttered so there is no way to know.

Trump did everything within his power to foster that dynamic. He gushes when it's to his advantage, and throws a tantrum when it is not.

They aren't paying their fair share now, huh?

When almost all new wealth has gone to the rich in the past few decades and we continue to decrease their tax rate. Nope

The working class deserves the breaks not the 1%.

Sorry if that offends you.

Jeez... you guys just jump to the race card.

Yam hold up the Scandinavian countries as the the picture of national excellence when you think it helps you socialist argument, but then call trump racist for saying that Norway is an excellent country.

Pointing the difference between third world and first world is racist?

He did none of that. Instead of advocating that immigration be handled as a meritocracy, he just wants immigrants who come from countries he deems as acceptable. Nowhere in his comments does he ever mention their merits such as education, work experience or their ability to speak the English language and immediately assimilate into the culture. Trump only seems to care about where they are from. Make of that what you will but I don't think it's a coincidence that the only 'acceptable' country he mentioned is predominantly white.

Beat you to your favorite insult?

It’s tired and overly played. I use it because people like you act like snowflakes to get caked a snowflake. But it is ironic considering you’re crying and being overly sensitive about this and call someone else that. It was pretty funny.

You guys are focusing exclusively on that one aspect of Trump's comment and trashing the country the immigrants are from - though that is no fault of theirs at all. In the past, Trump has advocated that immigration be handled as a meritocracy but with these comments, he is making it clear that if you are a well educated, English speaking person who is immediately capable of entering the workforce in the United States but have the misfortune (in Trump's opinion) of hailing from say, the Sudan (such as the immigrants featured in the movie "The Good Lie"), you should not be permitted in the United States because you come from a "s***hole" country. It was an incredibly narrow minded line of thinking.

Please Google "The Lost Boys of Sudan" and learn more about them. They have contributed heavily to American society and it is a great story.

:lolabove:

We have a pretty large contingency of lost boys in Gallatin, if you consider being unemployed, rude and in the way contributing to society I have nothing for you.

So like virtually everyone who hates Trump, you have put words into his mouth and brought up the race card.

Even Trump is smart enough to avoid exhibiting blatant racism. All we know of his true nature is what we can gather from a cumulative evaluation of his words and actions. Today, as most days, he gave us a couple of more things to put on the racist (white supremacist) side of the ledger.

The federal government needs to be about half the size, and everyone deserves the breaks that would come. A lot of people pay zero in income tax now.

Your beef should be with state and local for sales and property tax. I noticed that Tennessee has about a 40 cent per gallon gas tax. Everybody pays that.

Look out! Race card played .........again.

Oh trust me, I have issues with state and local tax distribution (which we probably agree on moreso) but clearly the federal taxes are where we part.

Whose quote is this?

"I speak my mind. If it offends some people, well, there's not much I can do about that. But I'm going to be honest. I am going to continue to speak my mind, and that's who I am."

Can you put an income number on that 1%?

This vague inferred racism that the left uses to declare anyone and anything racist for any or no reason whatsoever.
