Not a smart move by the young man but best of luck to him, he’s going to need! Maybe he’ll find a team that’s willing to groom him for a few years.

Sad that we weren't able to give him the supporting pieces...he will do great things in the NFL like he did here!

Funny you know more about what he should do than him. Crap oline and made a decision. Get over it

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!

I do believe we'll be in an OK place with what we have coming back, but JK is such a lovable guy, he will be missed!

Hope he has a good showing at the combine and/or pro day and gets a good grade. Would love to see him go in a decent draft spot.

Good move by JK. I wish him the best of luck!

I know some think he should come back for Senior year, but:

(a) the shelf life of Running Backs is limited; he should get paid while he can, and
(b) he was one of the few players on this team that fit perfectly in Butch's offense

It makes sense for him to leave with the coaching change. Thankful for the 3 years he gave us. Disappointed his talent was wasted by such poor coaching on the offense.

Wish him the best but I can't see him earlier than the late 3rd to early 4th round. My reason for this is that he just came upon the scene and started to get his name out there. One more year would guarantee him a first round selection and a lot more money. Good luck JK!

lets just wish him the best of luck, the whole its to early or would have dont better to stay is premature. What if he stays and gets hurt 1st game next year and misses rest of season? alot of thought had to go into this decision. I wish the youngman the best and hope he succeeds at the next level. I would expect R. Gaulden to be next inline to declare for draft. hope im wrong but wouldnt surprise me.

He wasn't going to be a Day 1 (or maybe even a Day 2 pick) next year. The line other than a couple of players isn't good. Might as well not put any more wear on the tires "for free". If he's good enough, this will get him to his 2nd contract quicker (the one where a 3rd-7th rounder increases their salary by multiples).

Huge mistake IMO. Phenomenal talent that would've been taken early if he had a year running behind be a decent line.

I think he will be good in the league but he likely won't get drafted early.

Good luck to JK. Hope he has a great NFL career. I can see many aspects of this. What if he thinks line may not be better enough to help. What if he wasn’t the best on our roster. Think he was but could be argued with how Butch made decisions. Also, new staff bringing in Banks and they will play the best who they also trust. JK got some bad penalties and the weed suspension in season wasn’t a good leader

Not trashing him but I am sure he has processed all of this and made what he thinks is the best decision. We thought Malone shouldn’t have left early which ended up a great decision. JK put up some good film but if he is a second day pick them he should go because always a lot of uncertainty with a new staff but shouldn’t go just for the sake of it. My first reaction was dang because I wanted him to stay but he had a lot of reasons to do both and no real clear cut way that was obvious choice to make.

I don't understand why we just think its fine that our Juniors seem to go pro, but Kirby keeping Michele and Chubb and getting them to stay for their senior year, when they were projected much higher than JK, shows what it takes to win. UGA wouldn't be in the CFP if those two declared last year.

Big difference, they played under Kirby for a year... J.K. has not played under Pruitt. RB lifespan is short in the NFL. It's a business decision for most of these early draftees, J.K. is no different.

Probably not a wise decision on their part to come back. They just got lucky they didn't get hurt. Anytime a running back can declare with expectations of being drafted in middle to early rounds he should go. Should never consider coming back to college and risk losing a way to make a living. Good luck John. Next man up.

Maybe the fact that last year's RB Draft Class may be the best in the past 20 years had a lot to do with that as well....
