Where do you want to be? When you wake up in the morning, and look around, what would you like to see?

I guess I aim for a quiet joy. Sort of a look-at-that-there's-a-Carolina-chickadee-taking-on-an-invading-cat-you-go-girl kind of joy.

Is your identity too flawed? Not flawed enough? Writing is difficult enough to do well. Why complicate it further? You have a creative mind. Just use it. Brainstorm, outline, create...

Hubs is a self-powered furnace. Don't know why; he's very lean, and he's not all sweaty (thank God), but boy, does he warm up the bed.

I kick off the covers when he's here, and I pull up the silk comforter when he's gone.

It's a nice problem to have. :)

Wee raised some good kids , they drink occasionally and don't do drugs. All 3 are productive members of society. I don't no how we did it. I should have brought my booze ape lol

An off-the-wall question: have you ever explored Buddhism? I don't think it works if you're exploding off in all directions, but if and when you get tired of that and are truly willing to do a trust fall on something new, that might be something that you might check out.

It has a lot of emphasis on balance, looking at what is coming at you, and figuring how to react to it. :dunno:

Great. We’re all here. We did our thing. My dad tried to tell my sister he invented the concept of solipsism and she believed him. My mom cooked a lot. We all played with the baby. We’re all temporarily tired of one another and taking a breather in our respective areas of the house.

I do know you can't go off half cocked. If you just start off with a dude sitting on his porch in a plastic chair smoking a cigarette watching his neighbor dig a hole in his back yard without knowing the story you want to tell... drank. Need shot the f up.

Houses with multiple bedrooms are crucial to holiday happiness.

We're in a 2BR/1Ba, so our visitors flee pretty quickly. :)

My mom wears me out, and most people around her.

She has a (when I think about it) charming viewpoint of the world which basically says, Why can't everyone be like me? If everyone were like me, everything would be fine!

I'm always in awe at the combination of innocence and egoism that makes this work. She is truly amazed when someone doesn't perceive things the way that she does.

I don’t have to be back in the office until after New Years. My mom laughed at the thought of me staying that long; she said- there’s no way you’ll make it an entire week here.

And didn’t I tell you a long time ago, I’m smarter than I am pretty? Although I’m not good at the science at all!

When you doing the family thing?

She sounds a lot like my mother.

Does your mother also happen to be extremely sensitive? Does she give unsolicited advice to anyone who is unfortunate enough to be around her?
