Will Georgia QB Jacob Eason transfer? That's the 'million dollar' question

Good article on Eason and if he will transfer. One would think yes given the success of Fromm and Fields enrolling this year. His talent is off the charts and has prob the biggest arm in college football. Perfect pro style QB.

Could CJP and CTH get in with Eason. This is the type of QB that is a program changer.

What you think volnation do we swing for the fences on him?

Complete BS, the coaches can come and go wherever they want, but the kids can't. I never understood how you can block or limit a "Student" athlete's choices on schools... smh

Because he signed his name on the dotted line and made a commitment to play for Georgia.

No way, no how, Ga would ever allow him to transfer to any SEC east foe. Would have to take the JUCO route to play for another SEC east team, west either most likely.

I don't think GA is too concerned about him going to another SEC school. He is a good QB but hasn't lived up to the hype of being an elite QB.

As I said after the UGA Spring Game, Fromn is better; and he will be a potential elite QB by Junior year.

The letter of intent is pretty clear. I think if a kid sits a yr out of competition, he should be able to go where he or she wants to go.

I do not support immediate eligibility on transfers, even for graduates. I think its just another method of free agency for big schools to correct previous recruiting mistakes. And smaller schools usually lose a player they have been counting on.

No it’s not.

He's everything they hoped he would be and they still benched him. He didn't break team rules. He didn't fail in the classroom or fail to put the work in. He played well from the get-go, got hurt, and it turned out somebody else was better than him. No idea why anybody thinks it's right or OK for UGA to stand in the way of his best future.

It's ****ing bananas that this BS is allowed.

But if Jennings transferred to Florida and started lighting it up your first post would be “how could Pruitt have let him go to UF???”

That is if the school grants them a release. If they don't then I believe they have to sit 2 years.

I think Dan Mullen should have to coach at a JUCO or sit out a year before he starts coaching at Florida jmo

Possibly but do you really want Kamara or Barnett type athletes to switch sides and play for Florida or even SCAR?

If we benched them and they're not getting paid, then I don't think it's right or proper to say they can't transfer to the place where they think they have their best opportunity. For the school, fans, etc. this is just a game, but for the players, these are their lives. Restricting Eason's choices could cost him $ millions. There aren't that many elite schools with pro-style offenses to choose from.

So go to JUCO and go where you want, like Kamara or Cam. I’m sorry, if I’m a coach I’m not letting Peyton Manning wake up one morning and decide he’s going to Bama because his girlfriend broke up with him last night.
