Pruitt definitely needs to get better at knowing who is in the "room"...or..."in the next room". Love the guy as a DC though. My gut feeling is he needs a guy like Saban to keep him in check.

Sounds like somebody made up something based on what little they know about CJP and an assumption that Mays is a good little boy based on the fact that he goes to a Christian school.

Agreed. Pruitt is no Saint but he is too much of an elite recruiter with a multitude of players that vouch for him through recruiting and after playing for him for me to believe he just up and went stupid one morning. this also all starts in other boards and not TN boards which makes no sense. i could just as easily see Cade being disinterested and pissing Pruitt off. Nobody not in that room knows

It being on other boards and brought here is the dead giveaway. Someone made it up then it was brought here by two Georgia people.

Cade Mays is offended by cuss words? His dad is jawing in the stands making an ass of himself and Cade racks up 50 yards in stupid penalties a week and we are supposed to believe Pruitt was too crude for them? GTHO

There was a video on here earlier during the season of dad standing up and mouthing at an opposing fan, presumably another dad, during a Catholic game. No physicality, just mouthing off and I would imagine there was some colorful language involved.

I can tell you straight from Fulmer's mouth, that story is not true. I will leave it at that. I don't know who TnVol72 heard it from, but I know who I heard it from. This is the last time I will even mention anything in the May's thread.

People from other forums claim Pruitt flew off the handle and swore at Mays during their meeting at Catholic. They also claim Fulmer was very embarrassed. No way either of those things are remotely true. Pruitt didn’t get to be one of the most respected recruiters by being a loose cannon.

Well maybe..... Pruitt thought Cade was a commitment under Butch Jones who cussed a ton. Maybe that's the angle to get Cade back on board is cuss relentlessly. I kid I kid. :eek:lol:

I said I wouldn't say anything else in this thread, but it pisses me off that Ga. homers come in here spreading lies about our coach. These same Ga people wanted to have Pruitt replace Richt as coach a few years ago.

Not really calling you out here, didn’t mean to come off that way....just the story, I don’t buy the story. It just doesn’t add up. I agree that it’s simethimg else. Somethimg soured Cade on Tennessee and it sure seems to me that there’s little to nothing Pruitt and Fulmer could do to change that. Just seems like the kid turned a mental corner with respect to Tennessee, that we were no longer an option for him, and that was that.

And I just can’t buy the Pruitt slander here. Just makes zero sense imho, especially given his reputation and results as a master recruiter. Just no way he goes into the home of a legacy and our most important potential recruit and goes bush league like some are “reporting”. Just can’t fathom it.

Because it didn't happen.. More like Pruitt didn't go into the meeting all puckered up and ready to kiss Cades arse and Cade got butt hurt... Again...

This is just my theory based of on info gleaned from this site...
