To Protect and to Serve II

Video Surfaces Showing Killer Cop Beating Up Teens Months Before He Murdered Daniel Shaver

Military police State at work. If this would have properly been dealt with the ******* probably wouldn't have murdered a man and got away with it thanks to police State worship by our fellow citizens.

Disgusting.
Only what I've been saying for a long time now...

The incident in the video below serves to illustrate the violent nature of the Mesa PD, which chose to escalate rather than de-escalate a situation—arguably one that could have been easily defused.

I'm not surprised. Most of these cops who wind up needlessly killing people have a history that should have set alarms with the departments they work for and were either met with a slap on the wrist or simply ignored.

The cops shoot the dog, then have the owner cut the dog's head off (to test for rabies???).

If I put the over/under on the cop talking at the end's IQ at 85, what you got?

I know I'd put a paycheck on the under.

Also, regarding the incident, I'd make them take me to jail. I'm fairly certain the dingleberry in the bow tie was bluffing and I'd call him on it. The guy has him on video essentially saying (I'm paraphrasing) he didn't know what to charge him with but he'd figure something out when he got to the station.

Just curious, but if I'm a mailman, meter reader, HVAC repairman or visitor came on my property and my dog runs up on them, can they shoot my dog and suffer the same consequences as a cop?

Seems to me those actions happen thousands of times each day, yet we hear of no dogs being killed. Hey, pizza delivery folks and mail men and women are some tough mother ****ers, huh?

How about this one, can we get away with beating a man to death, for absolutely nothing and walk away, as these cops did? I think not.

What kind of “human being” continues to beat and taze a man who is calling out for his dad to save him?

I have a suggestion for Dallas... how about they trim down the law book and enforce less laws.

Here's How The Dallas Police Chief Plans To Fill A Record 250 Job Openings

All of this has forced Dallas Police CHief Renee Hall to consider more creative recruiting strategies.

The recruitment shortage that’s occurred as a result in some areas is forcing police departments to develop creative strategies for luring millennial recruits to the force. In January, Hall plans to roll out a program that will give a total of four to six days off for officers that recruit someone who is hired and graduates from the academy.

According to Fox 4, both the Dallas Police Department and Dallas Fire-Rescue are struggling to find people who want to protect and serve. Both chiefs told city council members that recruiting millennials has proven challenging.

"We have nights, weekends and holidays — not attractive to millennials who want all days off and to be the chief in six months,” Chief Hall said. “We recognize that is a challenge."

"The other challenge — they're job hopping every five years,” added Dallas Fire Chief David Coatney.

Meanwhile, the opioid crisis has rendered hundreds of thousands of young men and women ineligible for law-enforcement service.

Additionally, Hall plans to start recruiting Dallas ISD students and hiring them as public service officers until they can be peace officers at age 19-and-a-half. She says it is within her power as chief to hire applicants who would currently not qualify because they admit to infractions like minor drug use.

"We recognize that when you're 17 and you do something silly or stupid, you're a different person when you're 24,” she said.

So wait... these minor infractions are worthy of going to jail and ruining your life if you go into the private sector, but the Dallas PD will look past these minor infractions if you want to be a cop?

Hey, I'm all for second chances, especially on these nonviolent "crimes". Seems to me that the police department needs to forget about enforcing these ridiculous drug laws and actual go out and start fighting "crime".

Well, I think I was wrong about tasers. Instead of replacing the over-use of guns, they may have resulted in the use of more force.

Reuters found more than 1,000 cases of people who died after being shocked by Tasers used by police in America. “A quarter of the people who died … were suffering from a mental health breakdown or neurological disorder,” Reuters reports, and in “nine of every 10 incidents, the deceased was unarmed. More than 100 of the [1,000+] fatal encounters began with a 911 call for help during a medical emergency.”
