D4H's 2017 NFL Draft Review (Best Picks, Best Drafts, and Predictions)

Kamara has the same ability Dobbs did with the shiftiness and ability to avoid hits. It's a freakish skill that very few players have. I wasn't sure it would translate to the NFL but it clearly has. Kamara definitely has benefited with Brees and Ingram next to him (as well as Payton giving him chances in different ways) but he's easily been the best rookie I've seen this year.

Good post.

I think we all figured Kamara would be good. There was a large outcry throughout his time at UT that he needed the ball more. But no one predicted HOF status, and it's still way too early to say that.

Uhhh...I did.

I said Alvin would be a Hall of Famer in the NFL last year.

I disagree. I think he's a solid NFL starter. My comp for him is Ray McDonald. Former Gators DT and San Francisco 49er.

Yep, these guys get paid to KNOW FOOTBALL and you don't ... so we should ignore that painfully low grade and just go with what you say right?

As for Alvin, A LOT OF PEOPLE felt he had NFL talent but it is still, for him or any other rookie, preposterous to run around talking about Hall of Fame before year 1 is even up. Dak Prescott tore it up last year. Is he going to the Hall of Fame? Most likely not, product of the team around him (although his passing skills were on display in a skills comp in the off season and he is far more accurate than some gave him credit for). That's not to say he isn't a very good QB but calling Hall of Fame for a guy with less than 16 games under his belt is just odd .. not nearly as odd as calling it for a guy who even some in a team's organization felt he could be a serviceable backup QB, but odd nonetheless.

Damn! Jared Goff is so lucky elite! Can’t believe how overrated he was! :wink2:

See Nick Foles in 2013. Fluke seasons happen.

I'll be here next season when Goff flops like Marcus Mariota this year. Remember how all you Titans fans thought he was a franchise QB last year? And this year he's a flop.

Dak Prescott changed my mind last year. Jared Goff hasn't budged me one inch. I'm still 100% sure he's a bust. PERIOD.

This can be changed to Kamara at anytime. Like Aaron Judge, Kamara won't maintain this level of play.

Funny how great seasons from predicted failures are “lucky”. Whilst practically NON-EXISTENT seasons from predicted great players (Brad Kaaya) are chalked up to EVENTUAL. Goff is already top 5 in the league and it only gets better...cept for SOME.

Kamara is different. He plays RB. That is more of an instictual position while QB is more of a position that you can be schemed to false success.

Alvin has elite talent that has already expressed itself. As long as he stays healthy, he'll be a superstar.

That's cause I know better.

See Marcus Mariota's flop of a season this year.

I never bought into him even after the empty success from last year.

He could end up flopping just like anyone else.

Bosa and Goff vs Kamara. And a majority of Vol fans predicted success for Alvin. You’re just not good at this schtick!

Based on what evidence? Or is this just your uneducated opinion, that you are stating as if it were a fact?

Are you really about to argue with me that RB is not a more instinctual position than QB?

There is a reason most RBs have instant success in both college and the NFL while it takes even the best QBs some time. Guys like Adrian Peterson were studs from their first snap in the NFL while a guy like Peyton threw 20+ interceptions as a rookie.

Playing football at literally any position at the NFL level requires a high level of football instinct. Please explain to me why a good running back has to have more instinct, than a good quarterback; difficulty, you can't use anecdotal evidence.

How’s Jerry Rice, I mean Corey Davis doing? I’ll hang up and listen.

Even Jerry Rice couldn't throw it and catch it himself. Corey Davis is currently playing with a scrub at QB.

Hopefully the Titans can draft a QB next year to help him out.

Cam Sutton got praise from Mike Tomlin last night. A guy who rarely gives out praise (especially to rookies).
