Just guessing but I would say Pruitt was chosen as the DC but that couldn’t be worked out. Why couldn’t that be worked out you may ask! Because Saban wouldn’t release him until after the playoffs.

Rewind to last years playoffs. What happened to Bama when they let Kiffin go before the playoffs? That’s right they lost. Saban is a creature of habit and he’s not letting that happen again. I’m guessing they were going to hold it up by finances. Probably costing Tn more than they were willing to pay.

Fast forward back to today. Gruden sends a counter offer (one of the other DC’s names). Is one of them already locked down? Stay tooned!
