Compare just announcing Pruitt vs. announcing Pruitt with Tee as OC/AHC, Steel as DC, Dale Jones as LB coach, etc.

Possibly sure. And that’s the one route I can see Tee coming...lots of orange to soften the Bama hire. But I don’t see how it makes much sense from tee’s perspective, much less the others.

If Pruitt does indeed want to be our coach, he needs to be here ASAP. Screw letting him stay and coach the playoff, if he wants that he needs to stay.

Ryan Phillips on twitter says he is hearing that Pruitt has been reaching out to other coaches to see if they would be interested in joining him at Tennessee. Says he is confident he will be the next coach.

Per my sources I am being told UT is going to revive Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau to fill the head coach vacancy. Matthau was the first choice but my sources are saying Matthau refused to come unless he could bring Lemmon with him. I'll update once I have more info on the matter.
