Official Jon Gruden Thread XLIX

I believe it's time to call out the big guns. I believe a letter from Sabannochio might be due.

Dear Mr. Gundy, Brohm, Morris, Leach, Doeren, Tucker, Pruitt, Gruden, Coach,

As I write this letter to you, we are a Volnation divided. Our hearts have been torn asunder and yearn to be stitched back together. You are the white knight, or whale, or pirate, that can nobly ride in on your steed, or manatee, or schooner, and soothe all of our pain. If only you were here now where you could gaze deeply into our tearful eyes, you could see the passion and desire we have for our beloved Vols, and the tenderness and excitement with which we would welcome you. Don’t be the Jesse Scroggins to our coaching search, our collective broken and bleeding hearts could not bear it. I believe Bonnie Tyler put it most eloquently, “I Need a Hero, I’m holding out for a hero til the morning light.” Won’t you be that hero, morning is coming soon, and my heart can’t take much more hurting.

Love,

Sabanocchio

This kinda reminds me of something I was thinking about the other day.

If I had any kind of computer, umm, skills that undermine a computer security system (don't want the NSA getting on me), I'd love to have control of that short fella from Tuscaloosa Twitter for about four hours.

Good thing Gruden will never sign with the Vols. He's scared to play me. #stayinthebooth

Saban said:
Stay in MNF, Jon, you can't hack it at the college level just like you couldn't hack it past that one Super Bowl

Saban said:
Chris Petersen? Never heard of her. She can't handle SEC play week in and week out

Saban said:
Gruden? That washed up former NFL reject? Not even good enough for college coaching

And watch the fireworks.

You’re right, it was probably Beav that started the Gruden lore way back when and is also the reason this thread was started. Im done arguing with fellow Vol fans though. Hopefully this hire is someone we can all rally around. Take care ;)

Whoa! That is 100% not what I'm saying. That is taking what I said to an illogical extent.

I don't want to argue with you either. I think the Beaver is take it or leave it. I echo Squints sentiment. If you don't like him (believe him), put him on ignore.

My entire point regarding the beaver is twofold (1) he has enacted a plan with a very high level of attention and strategy (2) he has played a role in this, however significant. I can see the dots line up between his actions and marketing/brand development/game theory. Whoever he is, his effect is not an accident.

Other than that, I don't know (1) who he is (2) who he works for (3) what his knowledge base is (4) if he was close enough to know anything deal specifics or (5) the precise extent of his impact.

I was hoping for strike throughs, but couldn't figure out how to do them. Fail.

Aka you know you are about to get owned. Credit given to you though. At least you are smart enough to figure it out. Have a good day!

Been at work haven't been able to get on here til now. Been busy people are already starting Christmas parties and dinners. They're buying mucho meats, whole beef tenderloins. These rich folk like to celebrate the whole month lol. Not much to celebrate on here. I'll always be Vol fan and back our team, as I know you will too. We may not agree and like everything this administration does but this players deserve our full support.

I can respect your opinions. Thanks for having a fun debate with me. Too many thin skinned individuals in here ready to crucify over differences of opinions. You argue for him better than he does himself btw. Lol.

I'd say I missed you too, but I haven't left.

Sorry to lurk so hard. I've been riding down my own apathetic highway. I always reserved some level of doubt, but I wanted to believe. To be fair, I still do.

In order for a Phoenix to rise, they must first be turned to ash.

Has it really been that quite like nothing at all is being said
