Official Jon Gruden Thread XLIX

I have no idea what has happened since the weekend. I was told that Gruden was on the list. This did not come from a booster but from a dear friend of CPF. They talk almost daily. I do not have access to my source because of their job but I will find out the truth eventually . That's all I want . Gruden till it ain't

At this point I think this is all anyone really wants.

When Pruitt is announced HC.

If it does indeed turn out to be Pruitt, then it’s a good indication the Haslams didn’t lose the power struggle.

Jeremy Pruitt - Let’s just say NO WAY!!!! I have quite a few high school friends that are connected in one way or the other at UGA - Every one of them said “he was a cancer on the football program”. If Saban hadn’t taken him, he would only be at a lower tier university. MAJOR attitude problem (I think Saban likes these types and tries to rehabilitate - think Kiffin). This is not a step forward for our program but could be, if possible, a step back.

Only thing that bothers me with your synopsis here is that last line. They would not want to wait until Christmas when early signing day is in 13 days. That would be utter suicide. Of course they could also be thinking "hey early signing day is screwed for us so why not wait?" Hell I just don't even know anymore...

I wasn’t clear on that. I think he is announced now but doesn’t take over until after Christmas. I get that from UTPaulVols Christmas vacation movie gif. I wish he would do a drive by and give me something else to try and figure out! Why would boosters that wanted Gruden settle for Pruitt? That just doesn’t make sense to me!

Screenshot from last night before he deleted it

Beaver seems more and more like he is very close to the situation but not necessarily a real player in the situation. Maybe a relative, kid of a big booster, or a midlevel booster himself. I feel like he has taken us along with him on this ride and we are nearing the destination but whomever was telling him big fish big fish has now gone silent. This explanation is the only thing I can think of for the handful of tweets he has posted lately then deleted. Feels like he is reacting to pretty much the same things we are now.

Did you honestly believe they ever did? Also, Fulmer has fought like crazy to become AD, do you honestly think he'd give up his power to allow Gruden to take full control? The Haslams aren't stupid. They allowed Fulmer as AD so that the public would simmer down and they could go back to working from the shadows. It's all political, and Fulmer, who I happen to like, is a politician as well.

I want Gruden. That would be great. But anyone suggesting Pruitt and Tee and Steele and whoever else are being interviewed for Gruden’s staff is delusional. These are head coach prospects. Sorry but it’s time to snap out of it and face the facts.

Fulmer will march Pruitt out and the same folks that blindly supported Dooley and Jones until the end will fall in line. They will shout anyone down who questions his greatness and the wheel of suckage will keep on turning.

No matter how you cut it, none of it does, or has.

Maybe we get an Atlanta post today. Beyond that, we all just sit and wait for the press conference, whenever that is....

And Beav was instrumental in getting Fulmer in

I love this girl, if anything else her brain.

Thanks!!!! My profession requires me to pay attention to all the little moving parts but put together an assessment based on the whole picture. Ok so here’s a little more to ponder. If Fulmer was going to announce Pruitt as head coach, why is he running around looking like he’s setting up the staff also? That’s not usually the case.
