One thing you have to understand is how rumors work. By the time the rumor passes hands a third time, the "facts" that are passed along are more of what the passer wants to happen, as opposed to what will happen.

And, by the time the "facts" hit this place, Gruden is "100% signed" and putting together his staff. I think it was all a pipe dream in 2012, and it was all a pipe dream in 2017. Gruden has never had any real intention of being the HFC at Tennessee.

As bad as I hate to admit it I’m starting to believe that. But people like PV that come in here and post that stuff I think deep down they know they’re leading us on a wild goose chase. That’s why they post these gifs so they can say they didn’t say anything we just took it wrong.

I wanted Gruden too, badly. But having looked at VQ, Twitter, and Reddit, it’s pretty easy to see the signs point to Pruitt. I’m sure some won’t be happy about it. But personally I like the hire. I guess we will see for certain tomorrow. Just manage your expectations if you haven’t already.

This is a multimillion dollar job, they don’t care about that stuff on that level, and neither should you. We should just want the best candidates to lead our program, for however long that may be. And to win as many games as he can along the way.

This is really a silly way to look at coaching hires. We want the best candidates at the time to help us win. Where they went to school isn’t a major factor.

If Pruitt brings Tosh Lupoi and another big hire or two I think you guys will agree with what orange is saying. Pruitt has been an elite recruiter at every level and has been involved in 4 championship runs. Imo a similar pick up to Georgias Kirby.

Let’s be real butch won 9 games in back to back years with a mediocre staff. Give me a Pruitt or tucker with an improved staff that goes to 11 wins.

Listen I know this is the gruden thread but now I’ve been told by 2 trusted people gruden is done. Haslam isn’t going anywhere. We need his money is what im told.

Friendly reminder, just because someone has hundreds of millions of dollars it doesn’t mean they want to hand milliona over for coaching buyouts or renovations.

Best way to sum it up. You have 100k in your savings. Do you spend 5k-7k on a nice vacation to the Bahamas or 5-7k on your dumb brother in law who lost his job and needs you to pay his rent and bills?
