We that are loyal to the Grude stayed steadfast and rode out the storm we all knew was coming.

Planes were going from Bama to Knox (imagine that), players were being followed by a ghost, and some people greatly misjudged the masses and said we would be excited about the coach but didn't say who it was.

You know......the usual lol

I'm still in my "cautiously optimistic" mindset. There has been nothing hinted at by the media, one way or the other. Why is everyone cashing in? I read the post by DTO. I mean no disrespect but he could very well be wrong. I'll watch the Vols and support the new coach wether it is Gruden or not. I don't post much in the threads but I read them every day. I just can't understand why everyone is giving up so close to the finish line.

To be honest I'm feeling my beer right now, but that doesn't make any sense. We would know he was wrong then. I thought he said he'd be back if Gruden was out. Then again there have been 50 threads on this so I don't know.

This would be an amazing staff guys.

When Smart left for UGA, Saban didn’t even interview for DC, he already knew who it was going to be. Pruitt is a huge win y’all.

Compared to Gruden it seems like a strike out, but it is a solid hire. And I’m excited.

Remember when someone reported that they may address Gruden turning us down (if he did) a day prior to them announcing the new coach? This would allow fans to cope and be more positive when the next coach is announced.

Well I believe he said he wouldn't spoil the surprise. When things went south last Sunday, he did come back to say it went south and he was headed to Knoxville to work on it. Hasn't been back (under that screen name anyway)

My last post for this bizarre day.

None of the names floated today pass the smell test of head coach at this point in UT Football history. Pruitt, Tucker, Steele or Tee. And Tee makes the others even more unbelievable as head coach if he is going to be the OC as is hypothesized.

Logic and common sense tells me there is much more to this. If it's Gruden or someone else, there is more.

However if I am wrong and there isn't, God help us. The fallout is not going to be pretty...
