I like Pruitt, and I agree I don’t see why Tee would come here to be his assistant. He’s in a good situation at USC.

If we're settling again, then Fulmer needs to make sure that damn contract has a low buyout on our end. If it's Pruitt, or some other current coordinator, I tell him to take the low buyout and prove to me we aren't making a mistake. That way if it is a mistake, which I feel it will most likely be, we can get out cheaper next time. I'm tired of making millionaires out of losing coaches.

What good does it do anyone to stir up the grudenites? We live in this thread. I personally only really post during coach searches and recruiting. This is the only worthwhile thread on the forum.

I hope the great pumpkin pulls a rabbit out of the hat. If it is Gruden I will be happy until we suck.
If it is not Gruden I will be happy until we suck. Gruden just gets a longer leash.

This has Haslam written all over it. The fact their attention switched from the coaches they were interviewing, at first, to focusing their powers on finding a DC to be HC... doesn’t this feel familiar? Schiano 2.0...

Trey Wallace just said on his parascope he believes Tennessee has a secret candidate no one in the media is talking about, and was adamant about it.

In all fairness, Trey shot down Gruden early in that periscope.

Said UT threw the money at him and made a serious run, but in the end, Gruden shot it down.

Trey absolutely said what you said, however. I'm not discounting that it could possibly be Gruden, and he just hasn't been told who. At the same time, just wanted to give the full scope of what he was saying is all.

I feel angry. I've never been sold on Gruden coming here because I knew it was a road to disappointment, but the way this whole search has gone down, it still became a road to disappointment. From an incompetent AD, to a supposed war between boosters, to Fulmer not being able to attract anyone of significance, it's all just disappointment. I feel like nothing will ever be accomplished until the administration and AD are completely wiped cleaned and the influence of boosters on decision making is mitigated to a secondary role. No one booster should ever have power over the AD like Haslam has had. I'm sick of all the BS. Until a sweeping change is made, we will never be great again. I hate that we suck, but let's face it, we do. We rely on idiots to make good decisions, so there's no need to be surprised by the fact they can't accomplish jack squat. I am so f'ing pissed off right now.

just a thought. why wouldn't we announce tonite? this isn't peytons night. this is a WHOLE class of inductees. if anyone thinks peytons ego is more important than soothing a rowdy, restless and dog ass tired fanbase that's been a shizzard and the fact we need someone ON THE RECRUITING TRAIL ASAP. i just don't buy it. at all.

Agree... I don't venture far from it. What else do you like? I usually buy it in Atlanta or have some friends bring it up from there. Expensive on my side of town.
