If there’s an argument to be made for Steele, it’s that he has a better defense than Tucker does this year with a less talented roster.

So the coaching search for the University of Tennessee, a top 15 job, top 10 winning program of all time, is down to Tucker and Steele, most likely Steele. What a freaking joke.

We won’t be a top 10 all time winning team for much longer if we keep this up. Every year we are down our legacy slips further away.

Yep, and we still could have a coach that currently has a top 25 offense and defense. But whatever, nothing to see here.

All of this for Kevin Steele?!? Give me a f'n break. Anyone associated with the university who hears the phrase "University of Tennessee head coach Kevin Steele" without it inducing their gag reflex needs to be sacked.

No staff could save a Steele hire. He is a dead man walking as soon as he signs, and everybody in America besides a few total idiots like Zit and Bri will know it. It is the worst hire in Tennessee history if it happens.

Exactly, not even hiring Tee (I don't get the amount of man love for this hire either) would make me support a Steele hire.

No Lane Kiffin will forever be the worst hire in our history. Messing that hire up is what got us to this point.

You’re out of your mind if you think Steele with Tee isn’t a good hire though. That would be an obvious line of succession and would provide a great deal of stability to a program that desperately needs it.

Yeah, most people would not have gone this route, but it does have it's merits. He also apparently looked at Clemson (Venables), which I think is smart. I think it is going to be Tucker, of those 3, but if it's Steele...Well, let's just say it will be an uphill climb.
