The report said they flew Steele to NY it doesn't say that they flew Tucker. The language is different, not sure if Tucker flew on his own dime or if he was flown there by UT. Simonton did not say.

UT paid for it. it's common with 60k a year jobs. I'm sure a 3-7 million job will pay for a ticket

We are Steele trying to gather more information about who Fulmer met with today. We Steele believe that a decision hasn't been made yet, but also Steele think one could be coming in the next 24 hours. If you Steele have any other remaining questions, please refer to this post, and all my previous posts, which Steele remain posted.

We played that card already. I doubt Fulmer will back down like Bahama John did.

People can say what they want, but politicians and all the people who don't care about football won't get involved again. That's what took that last protest to a new level. That's what really set it apart.

I would agree, but for the fact that Steele is Fulmers boy.

Yeah, they are so tight that he was never hired here when CPF was the coach. Now, I realize that he had Chavis as the DC, but during those years I'm sure there were openings for LB or DB coaches, which fit in with the types of positions Steele had during a lot of that time.

And yet he never hired him then.

We need to place our faith in Fulmer. NO ONE cares about this program more than Fulmer. Nobody on this site has put the time, effort, blood, sweat, tears, and anything else worth sacrificing on the line for this program like Fulmer has.

I have complete trust and faith in him to craft a vision and solution for the program. I'm ready to support any staff.

None of that matters if you make bad choices.

Not saying Steele is the man for the job, but obviously no other coach did much at Baylor during this time period:

Chuck Reedy (Big 12) (1996)
1996 Reedy 4–7 1–7 6th South
Dave Roberts (Big 12) (1997–1998)
1997 Roberts 2–9 1–7 6th South
1998 Roberts 2–9 1–7 6th South
Kevin Steele (Big 12) (1999–2002)
1999 Steele 1–10 0–8 6th South
2000 Steele 2–9 0–8 6th South
2001 Steele 3–8 0–8 6th South
2002 Steele 3–9 1–7 6th South
Guy Morriss (Big 12) (2003–2007)
2003 Morriss 3–9 1–7 6th South
2004 Morriss 3–8 1–7 6th South
2005 Morriss 5–6 2–6 5th South
2006 Morriss 4–8 3–5 T-5th South
2007 Morriss 3–9 0–8 6th South
Art Briles (Big 12) (2008–2015)
2008 Briles 4–8 2–6 T-5th South
2009 Briles 4–8 1–7 6th South

Steele is the only one with a 10 loss season F...THAT. Butch was fired not because he wasn't a VFL, it was because he was not winning enough. How can you remotely think tou will be able to sell a coach with a career 9 and 36 record? Who cares if he is a VFL...if it is Steele then once again you have an Admin who is out of touch with the fanbase. If you see Steele hired i do think instead of fire Currie you will have fire Fulmer chants at basketball...there is no equity for stupid.

Currie was always going to hire Schiano and Fulmer was always going to hire Steele.

What a complete joke of a program we’re stuck with. Just unbelievable that these idiots continue to make us the laughing stock of CFB.

None of them care about winning or at the very least they’re too stupid to do their jobs properly.

While every other damn school does an actual search and upgrades with their hires. I'm sure our rivals are laughing at us now. And now the media will blame all of this on us fans- you see stupid Tennessee fans? You get what you ask for😅 You've scared off every great coach in the country! That's what they will say I dread it😪

Another name I haven’t heard mentioned yet, but could be a good get, is Woody Widenhofer.

All my goodwill towards this University has been used up. What a f#@$ing joke of a program. Get ready for the good old days of 4-8 seasons.
