I don’t think we should look too much into the coaches being interviewed. I remember PV saying that every candidate that’s interested deserved an interview. Since he was obviously close with PF I’m sure they were on the same page on this one.

I was talking about Grumors with my husband last night. We both agreed that if Gruden isn’t in play for whatever reason, Fulmer would release a statement or have Grudens agent release a statement. Currie didn’t manage fan expectations at all, and I don’t think Phil will make that mistake. The longer it goes on without hearing, the more positive I become that gruden really is listening.

If MNF football starts with Gruden wearing a checkerboard jacket, I am going to lose it

A bit brisk to going running screaming through Knoxville in the nude, but hey, some times things just have to be done

Yes he will and the fact so many in Vol land would rather have Miles than Kiffin blows my mind. Grude is definitely my first choice but if that doesn't pan out Kiffin would be next in my mind.
I know i'm in the minority but he can win with our team now. If he had left us for any other team but USC I would feel differently..

I spoke with him this morning, he said the rumbling that he has heard are that the candidates are pretty much down to Miles & Steele. Should have an announcement by Wednesday. He wasn't sure about Tee.

That was almost 20 years ago. Since then he has coached under Bowden, Dabo, Miles, Saban, and Gus. Not saying he would do good or not but that is a great resume.


He was asked about the TN job.

I was on the team there, not a very good player, but I was on the team," Steele said. "I got a degree from there and I do love my school, but other than that I haven't been told anything. I'm working for Auburn and proud to be doing it.
