Chavis’ issues were contract related with the school. Had nothing to do with Miles.

My thoughts on this are that he wants to coach in the SEC only. You don't go from LSU to Alabama State and be happy. The only opening last year was...LSU, so obviously that didn't make sense.

There were openings this year, but most of those schools didn't consider him a splash hire for the same reason some folks here don't. A&M doesn't need Les Miles, they got a current coach with Jimbo (and paid him a stupid contract to do so). Florida didn't need Les Miles (they were going after Kelly and then Mullen). Ole Miss needed stability but I don't think Les would have been interested in that job due to pending sanctions, so they stayed with Matt Luke. Arkansas might have some interest in Miles now, but they were originally fixated on Malzahn.

IIRC, Chief's problems were with the LSUAD. I seem to recall it was over a contract and money he was owed or LSU said he owed them.

His relationship with them was not left in good standing. I'm not aware of him and Miles having issues.

My knowledge is dated (96 - 98) but Japan was just full of contradictions from my perspective. Like, you would see a lot of people on bicycles, but they would be smoking. I had a nature preserve right by my apartment and it was amazing, but they would throw trash all over the place. Kids are trusted at a very early age to walk to school, but they did so wearing shorts year round. This is in a place with the same temperature as DC give or take.

I love the people. They were so friendly and accommodating to a foreigner who had like two phrases down in their language. Charades and a look of hopeless desperation can get you anywhere you want to go in Japan.

I will stop writing a book after this one, I just love Japan. If you can visit, do it!

Oh one more! I once went to a freaking Denny's for breakfast to find out that they only served that kind of food on the weekend. I had a "Rocket salad", for breakfast :D

I’m in Louisville which is about an hour and a half from Cincinnati. I’ll just put my FD uniform on, say it’s official business and ask Jon what’s up? Stay tuned for updates, or if I need bail money :)

He was very active on Twitter this past week on Twitter. Within an hour i sware ingot 10 or more notifications within an hour.. his account is about like here. Kinda quiet most of the time. He did hint about Phil going after Gruden or the Boosters having some sort of plan.. I will have to find the tweet.

Maybe you should watch it again to gather additional evidence. Helton calls many of the plays.

It's obvious to me that Tee would be a liability of an OC at UT if paired with Miles as neither coach QB's or call all of their own plays.

However, pair Tee with Gruden and that's completely different as he coaches the QB's and calls the plays.
