Seriously, why would he need a smoke screen? Most jobs have been filled. Sometimes I think we take the smoke screen thing way too seriously. What good does it accomplish at this stage of the game?

Honestly, I’m in the mindset that info comes out later today after the playoff announcement or tomorrow. The early signing period is only a couple weeks away and I’m sure Fulmer is absolutely wanting a staff in place to start locking down recruits.

Time is of utmost importance right now, all IMO

One concern I have regards timing:
Recruiting quiet period begins dec 17 and dead period the 18. Followed by signing.

We have roughly two weeks to try to prevent some recruits from signing elsewhere early (i’m talking to you trever Lawrence), and to try to get the ones interested to commit early ( that means you Cade).

I understand the need for careful consideration, and making the right hire.
However the coaching circle is small, and everyone understands the need for expediency. We are going to have to go through our hit list pretty fast and get this done.
I’m sure Phillip already has hooks in the water but I’m ready to start cranking the reel.

Thoughout this process, you've been entirely against Gruden being a possibility, and have fully backed "candidates" much worse than Miles. Now, you're all in?

I agree. But freakin Currie did it to fool the fans which is why the fans revolted. At the same time, there may need to be some secrecy if Gruden is in play. I honestly don’t know why though. At this point, who cares?

Good grief somebody has a problem with whatever day it will be announced. I just want to hear it. The day it's announced will be the day, everything else will have to just go on or jump in the excitement. Not this because of this, can't disturb this, blah blah blah! When it happens it happens, everything else can get in line! SOON! GRUDEN to the HILL!!!!!!!!!!:rock:

I'll debunk Miles right now. I ventured to another thread last night (YIKES) and a poster that is an Alabama fan *name:rollltide*(translasion:rowwwtahd) said we would do good hiring Miles. I'm sure Fulmer got wind of this and is offering a cigar to Jon.

Well let’s see. If Fulmer called gruden yesterday how would he know unless gruden told someone or he had a wire tap.

I want to believe again. I’m just not falling for it again without real smoke not artificial from a smoke machine
