You are right and the fake news will never admit though. They could not get over Tenn not trying to hire a good coach but ready to hire a nothing of a coach. He said it was like somebody has been trying to destroy the program. I am sure he was meaning Haslam lol.

Right on👍🏽 Fulmer never being at a negotiation table,do you think he will be clutch enough to go for it with the right numbers in place and fire his shot or is there any doubt there
If Fulmer meant it when he said he was going to make winning fun again, he has to be targeting an offensive minded whiz. That would lead me to think Leach is still in play as well as Brohm and Gruden. Each would bring some fun and exciting football to the field.
I know, most would think Brohm would be a huge letdown, but I think Fulmer wants to score points. A lot of them. Offense sells tickets, defense wins championships. He has to be thinking of a high octane offense guy for HC, and helping to get a badass DC as well.
Alternate explanation:
The Gruden negotiations were real for all concerned with the exception of John Currie. John Currie ran a con at the direction of Haslam, to make everyone else think Gruden was happening, while Currie negotiated in secrecy with Schiano. In fact, he did his job so well that his con was not discovered until early last Sunday morning. If not for that early morning leak, we would have Haslam, Currie, and Greg Schiano today.
They would like nothing better than for Tennessee to stay irrelevant.. Gruden to the hill! Soon!
For whatever reason, I cannot get that s***eating grin on Currie's face during his PC when asked about Gruden out of my head. Looking back, that grin simply was one big middle finger to Volnation b/c he already knew who his man was.
PF is a guy that wants to line his guys up nose to nose with your guys and play smash mouth. The fun part?--That's winning. Don't think he's referring to a 8 win per year coach like Leach would be at UT.
Yep, and Currie used the exact same tactic with Schiano that Haslam used to get Currie and usurp Fulmer from the AD search.
The mystery candidate for AD was Currie.
The mystery candidate for HC was Schiano.
And both were orchestrated behind the scenes by Haslam.
