This is the day the people has won. The spotlight around the country is now on the Haslam name.

Do not shop at pilot, FlyinJ, Love truckstop ect. Push your car by any of these if your out of gas to a Weigels.

Another battle has been won

The war rages on

We have to get the AD right!

Poster on VQ regarding Haslam..

"Minimize Currie’s span of control ... and hopefully as far as fire him. The “war” I mentioned on Sunday (that some felt the need to call me a liar and other choice words about) is being won by the good guys. This mornings news should not be a surprise to anybody, nor should the frantic attempt to hire a coach the last week. Haslam knew if it didn’t happen quickly he would lose the chance to have “his guy” as head coach ... in turn keeping a level of control over the university. Coaches did not just “turn down” multi-million we raises regardless of what the media is being told. These hires are being blocked. We will owe a great deal of gratitude to a group of boosters who will likely never be publicly known."

Keep the fight going!

I like your plan...

But you have to be specific.
One name for each position.

EVERYONE must be on the exact same page.

I understand your point. The "same page" could be that VN is good with any of the 3 names for UTAD. My experience in the corporate world, when trying to influence decision makers is ....
1. Stroke their egos for making a good decision (firing Currie).
2. Give them options/guidance, so they feel they are relevant and needed (3 good names for UTAD).
3. Demonstrate to them that the big decision is Win/Win and will cement their legacy within the organization.(Gruden).

JMHO.

Hawk, we keep seeing people repeat that. Now you.

Why do you say that? Just because you've heard others say it? Do you know what he has going on that would preclude him being our next AD?

I mean, do you actually know?

He has a personal life...
Should be left personal.
He will have a spot, just not AD.

More from Vol_In_CLT

"Next step will determine a lot. If they leverage the same committee that was helping put a long term plan in place, we will be right back in play with the whale. Blackburn being named to a “special project” would also be an amazing advancement."

I won't speak for Hawk, but I do believe the things with Blackburn are not directly related to discussions on this board, nor should they be.

This, I 100% agree with this.

By only giving one choice, we make it too easy to say no. By giving three choices we also reserve our right to be hysterical when they don't chose one. WE GAVE YOU THREE OPTIONS!!!!

Always allow the idiot enemy to be given the rope to hang themselves, works in all facets of life and business, feed the troll so to say.

I understand your point, HearforGrumors made it as well.

We have the chance to place actual VFL's into the two positions, while introducing new blood at the same time.
We need ORANGE blood, while removing OLD politics.

What is getting me (probably too) excited right now is when I pull some of these things we’ve heard together and think of where they point to. I remember awhile back a lot of discussion about announcing a coach the day of the SEC Championship game for the excitement and exposure. The Hargis article about Blackburn followed by the talk of him working as a Compliance Officer for Gruden and now the post that he has “things” to do so won’t be the AD. Deerhunter’s crazy and wonderfully excited assurances that Gruden WILL be our next HC and will probably hear this weekend. And the really big thing to me is STILL there is SILENCE from Gruden and his agent. I’m trying not to get too excited but I am anyway. :)
