If anyone thinks Mike Leach is going to be controlled by anyone I think they have another thing coming. That guy is half insane in a way I kind of like, I cannot fathom him being controlled

No one knows where Currie is.
Currie is out.
Fulmer may be the new AD.
We found Currie, he is in CA interviewing Leach.

Good grief. No one knows what the hell is going on.

I would love to somehow back door Gruden. I really want it. I'm still in. I just think the odds are so long now. And if we end up with some Cringle McDingleberry we're going to look back at the screw up with Jeff Brohm as the biggest failure of this search. Brohm can flat out coach. He will be at a blue blood within another year or two killing everyone in whatever conference he ends up in.

Tee needs to be HC somewhere else before he takes over at UT. South Alabama is open, and with it being his home town, this would be the place for him to get that experience.

Completely agree, I love Tee and will always support our former players (Except Arian Foster), but I do not think he would succeed in this job right now either. Plus he deserves to go somewhere with less turmoil and be able to properly learn to be a head coach without Haslam or Currie trying to ruin him.

I'm not doubting you, but how many failed hiring attempts does it take before Currie is finally replaced and Haslam loses his grip on UT Athletics?

Despite repeated failures, Currie somehow manages to hang on, like a turd that won't drop. Even if Currie gets fired, won't Haslam just make sure another lackey gets hired instead of Blackburn or Fulmer?

I'm just trying to understand how hindering the administration's success will lessen Haslam's control. He certainly won't remove himself from the equation.
