If Gruden was ready to coach and just waiting for an offer, he would use a national leak to force the AD's hand.

Gruden would not want to play games to make someone do something. Currie and Haslam would have to be nutered before Gruden will consider anything again. Ship has probably sailed on that one ever happening if Gruden really ever wanted to coach in college. For the future of this program and its long term good, control needs to be abdicated or taken.
