Even though Sumlin is considerably better than anyone we've targeted since maybe Gundy, the one problem I have is him potentially bringing back "3rd and Chavis." Also, don't forget that Sumlin is apparently a pretty good friend of none other than Butch Jones.

On Finebaum show guy calls in and claims has Steele’s old phone number. Claims he got a text from someone with Hyams saying he’s the leader for $4 million. Finebaum said to him “I happen to have an old number in my phone for Steele.” He called during the break and it was that guy.

He sent the text to the show. It was a text for Steele basically hoping he comes. Said “Hyams and I will Be your Agent”. Signed Doc

There just isn’t a good coach out there for us to hire. If we are being completely honest, Tee probably isn’t the guy either. He is way too inexperienced so things could go very badly with this team’s current shaky foundation.

Morris is our best option and he is going to wait until Tamu is no longer an option at the least.

Why not wait and see how the FSU dominoes fall before making a hire then? Rushing out and hiring a dope like Doeren would’ve made no sense.
