IDT he cares about winning back the fanbase. He has no future here, and he'll be glad to go. His motivation is to make a hire ASAP and get out of the fire.

The law of diminishing returns has set in. He's going to move down the list quickly till someone says yes.

So what you are saying is he doesn't give a ****. I agree and it's the exact reason he should no longer be involved in the process of hiring a new coach. They should relocate his office to some windowless office on the ag campus. We may sure as hell can't afford to pay his buyout but we can limit the damage that he can cause.

Jesus is the eternal God. To speak of Him in those terms is blasphemous. He was born in the incarnation, but He is not a baby. He is eternal King of Kings. You can do what you want, but some of us would appreciate it if blasphemy was not used on this board.

Just what was missing in this coaching search imo

Jimmy talking about Kevin Steele recruiting two people almost 30 years ago, but somehow Sumlin's SEC record minus his best season is reason enough not to hire him?

Can someone call into his show, say "You're an absolute idiot." and hang up?

AD is using Hyams to gauge Vol fans response through Twitter. If we approve they move on. If we are opposed they offer.

I would be good with either Sumlin or Morris. I prefer Morris, but Sumlin would recruit like hell in Atlanta.

Got it Tennessee criteria is for a sitting head coach and there are two coaches on the board who are defensive coordinators. Do I have that right?

Honestly sumlin doesn't excite me that much. He is a failed SEC head coach.

But compared to Schiano and Doeren , he is like General Neyland 2.0

its the dumbest sh*t i ever heard. But hes a Haslam puppet too.

141–55 Les Miles record as a HC.

- If Currie turns this down, someone drag Currie by his balls and fire his ass.

Phillip Fulmer's record as a HC: 152-52. Fulmer is 67. Miles is 64. I don't see our admin pushing for Miles when Fulmer is right there and probably just as available.

Not saying I wouldn't like to see Miles here, I just wanted to show the comparison. I think Fulmer's pride might prevent a Miles hiring. Just like Peyton's pride could prevent a Tee hiring. All JMO.

but theres actually a shot he will have a few big seasons where the other two mentioned literally give you zero hope and they are boring as hell.

Basilio on his show today: "Tennessee has added this criteria of having to hire a sitting head coach."

Jimmy just now: [twitter]https://twitter.com/JimmyHyams/status/936311213050482701[/twitter]

Also, on the show today as soon as that Doereen guy turned us down, he said "you know where they are gonna turn next???? Kevin Sumlin. Within 30 minutes it's hitting the air.

Basilio may be as plugged in as anyone right now.

Ziti, Tony has been on the money for the past 6 months. He for sure has a great source inside. Also, he said Sumlin would come.
