When Brohm got support, they quickly shoved him aside. If Sumlin gets support from the fan base will they shove him aside until they find a name we don't like?

He developed Manziel and Garrett and is a solid recruiter who has strong ties to Texas and Louisiana's fertile recruiting territories.

1.) Recruiting is solid
2.) SEC East is less brutal, although he'll still have Bama every year. But he's beaten Saban, something we have yet to do.
3.) Change of Scenery for some coaches in a parallel environment is a good thing. Look at Richt, going to Miami jumpstarted both Miami and his own coaching.
4.) Absolutely a better offensive scheme than Butch.

There are concerns, too, but none to the degree of Dave Doeren or Chad Morris, etc.

Solid man, solid football coach, has thick enough skin to survive Knoxville. I'd have put him about 3 notches higher than we did. Right after Gundy.

If you wouldn't support this hire then your head is in the clouds. We will not get anyone better at this point. Go get Sumlin or Miles. Proven winners

115+ votes in and we're 91% in favor of Kevin Sumlin...

I thought we were a bunch of racists that would only be satisfied with Gruden?

JK, i’d Love him here and it would get AH back in our favor and he wouldn’t think we were a bunch of slave drivers and racists anymore.

I am a purist. I am want this search to embarass the sh!t out of Haslam, Currie, and Peyton that they are only left two choices: Kiffin or Tee.....

Love Sumlin, but I am willing to be a fan and let this thing blow up in the short term for the sake of the long term.

Hire Sumlin and everyone breathes easy.... I think Sumlin makes Currie and team rest easy.... people would wind up renewing tickets and support.

Sumlin was a .500 coach in conference play in the tougher division. Maybe he'd be able to be in the .600s in an easier division.

Given everything we've been through, I'd happily take him. This is a nightmare and has to end.

I would absolutely get behind Sumlin. He is a great recruiter and did well in the much harder SEC West. He's been on my "why haven't you call" list for a bit.
