My email has been sent
Madam Chancellor,
I'm writing you this email today to express my concern over the recent events involving our proud University and Athletics Department.
As I'm sure you're aware last night, the students at the University of Tennessee had their freedom of speech rights trampled on by the "adults" that are there to help them grow and to become better human beings.
How can you stand by and allow a student to be body slammed to the ground and had his arm broken for simply voicing his displeasure for an incompetent Athletic Director?
Since Sunday, our University has been the laughing stock of national media. We are being made fun of and talked down to as if we are spoiled children, and yet you sit in your office and do nothing to stop this from happening.
It is apparently that John Currie is unable or is too incompetent to do his duties correctly as Athletic Director at the University of Tennessee. He needs to be removed immediately from his position, and a new interim Athletic Director needs to be put in place.
As a born and raised Tennessean, growing up just 90 minutes from Knoxville, it pains me to see our once proud University to be turned into what is today.
Madam Chancellor, you can put an end to all this turmoil by doing the right thing, please, listen to the people of Tennessee. Remove John Currie from his current position.
I along with many other fans will no longer support the Athletic Department in any financial way. I will no longer buy any merchandise, tickets or make any form of donation to the University of Tennessee until John Currie is removed.
And while I'm sure you have probably got thousands of emails the past few days, I will continue to send this same email every half hour until John Curie is removed from his position.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
A concerned University supporter
