This is what we need

Kiffen is not what we need. Didn't like him as UT coach before, don't like him now. He's an unprincipaled low-life. One of my criteria for a coach is "would I want my son to play for this man". With Kiffen, it's a resounding NO!

Gruden till it's not.

It’s amazing that the usual bunch of posters on this site have left the building! Come on man let me hear ya! Sing one of your insider love songs!

I don't want to get my hopes up again- how do you know this? I don't trust her- didn't she blow up the Brohm deal today?

She was said to have been the one who said no. That’s one of the reasons we believe she’s waking up, it was good that she turned it down. Currie didn’t have approval from the university to put the offer out there. Currie offered with haslams approval. Before all this it would have been acceptable, her turning it down showed that the Haslams ont have the power to push these things thru anymore.

No can you repost?

Yep

I posted this earlier, in a deferent thread(I know, I left for the first time in awhile). But figured I’d post here also, just edited it as it was in response to someone there and would sound weird the way it was worded.

There’s a lot going on right now, the mess we are in isn’t neccassarily bad in my opinion of the situation. It’s being manufactured. Manufactured to create fighting amongst the people who are the cancer.

There’s a fight going on for power essentially.

Fighter 1
They are used to winning, without fight really. They have put pretty much all the people of power in office and provide a good chunk on money to the university. Problem is they aren’t good at picking the right people, and I believe they don’t try. They pick people they like or have connections with. It’s all about business with them. Example: I’ll get you this job, but if I need you you owe me. Now we have an HC opening and it’s time to cash in on that.

Fighter 2
This group is the rest of the big boosters, some who actually have deeper pockets than the opponent. They have offered the AA a ton of resources/and money to get them on their side, and fighter 2 is needed for athelitic funding/stadium renovations. Sure these boosters by themselves don’t spend more that the opponent, but together surely do. This side is fed up with being a joke like all of us, and truly want to win. They are tired of putting big money up for a product that isn’t worth the price tag.

Currie was in a tough spot. Fighter 1 got him in his position. He owes him, and essentially is fighter 1s property and puppet. Fighter 2 has said you side with us the AA and AD side will be set up nicely, go against us and good luck with all that and the renovations. Currie made the wrong decision from the start and caught extreme backlash from AA, fans, politicians, people inside his own office(the leak that shiano was going to be announced). There’s a reason Shiano wasn’t on anyone’s radar, and if it wasn’t for whoever leaked the info he would of been behind the podium a few days ago. Whomever leaked the info is an amazing person who deserves a ton of credit, but for now they are our unsung hero. Now currie can’t be trusted, which isn’t a huge surprise.

The fight is now about making the administration look like the biggest joke there is. Fighter 2 is sabatoging each candidate by reaching out and telling them to not take it. Each time we get turned down it looks worse and worse for the admin. Eventually Bev or Joe will have to pull the plug and can Currie, which will clear an obstacle needed to get the power back where it needs to be. It’s what’s been keeping us from having a winning program for awhile.

If it was solely off offering money to a coach we would have our pick, I promise you.

It may suck right now looking from the outside in, but this mess is needed. Fighter 2 may seem like they are hurting us by getting coaches to turn us down, but it’s for the better. Got to put a stop to the continual bad/corrupt choices or this cycle we’ve been in will continue to occur every few years. Coaches out there know we have these issues, they speak. We won’t get a quality coach until this happens.

Money is important, but the money isn’t what is causing this issue directly. I guess you could say certain people with money is the issue. Hopefully the right side is making fast progress, and I believe they are. Currie had brohm ready to sign, took it to Davenport for approval, she shut it down. But then we find out Currie never had approval to put out the offer in the first place and Pres Joe turned it down. Remember what I said about them fighting between themselves. They are pointing fingers at each other, but more importantly Currie would have been able to get away with putting out an offer before, not so much now. This indicates the changes/pressure by fighter 2 is working.

A lot of what’s going on right now is misinformation, and it’s on purpose. I know that fighter 2 in my above description is trying to weed out the wrong people in the university, and the power players. The misinformation I BELIEVE is part of their process. They have to have chaos, and it is happening. People in the admin are pointing fingers right now and fighting amongst themselves, I do know that. Their working relationships are failing, and will crumble, all while/and because they are being made to look like fools.

Someone, or multiple people, will have to go down. And right now it’s easy to see who they are.

I also have to believe Gruden knew how these people operate. Which would help explain why he didn’t come in 2012. It may actually be part of the process this time(what we are seeing). It wouldn’t be hard to come to the conclusion that Gruden said I want to be the HC, but can’t with these people in power. He sits back while others fight the fight. If the good side wins then he gets to be the HC where his wife and himself want to be. If the bad wins he’s at a safe distance to not tarnish his name. From his perspective he can’t lose.

The fighting is happening. I just think/hope it was part of the plan, or at least an option we are now watching unfold. I’m HOPING that Gruden is in the know, and is still waiting on the results.

Awesome

So are you saying that Peyton is sabotaging Currie?

Everyone keeps saying that Peyton is talking to all of these names that are being thrown out.

I know for a fact that he called some coaches in 2012 that Hart was vetting and told them UT was not a good fit for them.
It was recommended to Butch that the Colorado job was where he needed to be.

Why do you think Strong "turned UT down??"

I thought Peyton was Haslams new buddy the jerk!

Waaaaait a second🤔 Lets think this through...what if manning was used as a honey trap to haslam because he knew haslam has a fascination with him,got close to learn his plan and is now sabotaging Currie to get Blackburn 🤷🏽 NAWWWEWWW NO WAY but if so what a story to read about
