Official Jon Gruden Thread XLV

Just talked to one of my work neighbors who is a huge, huge Sooner fan. Talk turned to football and his quote:

"If I were a Vol fan, I'd be setting fire to the entire city of Knoxville about right now. I actually feel sorry for you guys having to deal with those idiots in charge."

I didn't even argue with him.

He's not wrong...

This Thread started out with little or NO Hope that you and I would actually ever truly see Gruden as the head coach at Tennessee..... Most who came into this thread came simply to "Have fun" or to "make fun" of the believers.....

Those who posted their sources promises have mostly left given up themselves, some are still here but offer NO HOPE that we can win...

Seems we are RIGHT back where we started.. So.... I say NOTHING IS ANY LESS Likely that it was when we all joined in...

I BELIEVE.................... GRUDEN TO THE HILL till the cows come home or Currie is fired or the HOH burns down...which ever comes first

But did they stop it for the right reason? Or did they stop it because they didn't want to spend the money?

We know Currie is doing what Haslam tell him. So we know by Bev and Joe standing up to Currie, they are really standing up to Haslam. Reasoning at this point doesn't matter. Just the fact they stood up is a huge plus.

old news ?

Finebaum just broke in while on another discussion....Brohm out, Currie now going after NC State Coach, Dave Doren or however u spelz it ?

Doeren is by far the worst option so far. As a coach, he is on par with Schiano and he’s below Butch. This cannot happen.

The only way to truly cause change is to be willing to burn it all down so it can rise like a Phoenix from the ashes.

Contacting the University is great, but the old saying goes something along the lines of money talks & bs walks but when the money walks folks start to squawk.

Economic impact will have multiple folks screaming bloody murder about this situation.

How much do you spend annually in Knoxville to attend UT sporting events? Hotels, meals, shopping?

Call those businesses you frequent and let them know that due to the incompetence in the AD and the continuing Haslam Family control of athletics you can no longer in good conscience attend events in Knoxville and the $$$(dollar amount) you normally spend with their establishment will no longer be spent. Let the Chamber of Commerce and Mayor’s office know this as well with total spent annually.

Are you a business that advertises with the Vols? Game day programs, score boards, digital ring in Neyland? Give Steve or Brandon a call and let them know why you will not be purchasing any advertising due to the incompetence in the current Athletics Department.

There must be a consequence outside of the University to get attention focused on the problems within the University.

F it Doyle, keep hope alive, can't be anymore let down run down downtrodding and kicked around than we have, can't hurt me no mo! Faith is back, until it is crushed.

I've thought we can't sink any lower too, and for some reason they keep showing up with that backhoe.
