Didn't she buck Haslam about the outsourcing?

She's a big title IX person. Made the mistake of trusting Currie, then was blindsided by his hire (Schiano) and Haslam's involvement.

Maybe she's on our side.

Maybe this is wishful thinking.

My god what a ****show c.f.

Yes, PV has been saying this for a week now. That’s why he keeps saying the fan base needs to be louder than ever before. This is why he keeps saying time is of the essence. This is why he wanted people to go to the b-ball game tonight with signs and chant. It’s going to take something drastic to get anything done.

Are you and PV dating? Related? You’re his agent? Assistant?

Apparently Brohm said yes and Currie went to Davenport for approval on the buyout money and she said no. Currie went back to Brohm with a lower offer and he said no. If true, she needs to hand in her resignation right now.

Burn it all.

Can’t speak for Atlanta, but here’s how it seems like it went down.

Boosters (and others) approached Gruden and negotiated a deal eventually. These guys were under the impression that EVERYBODY was on board. All that was left was to publically fire Butch and have Currie close the deal.

The Schiano deal Sunday caught everybody off guard. Atlanta said he was notified by an OSU staffer while Currie and whoever else was already there.

Haslam never intended the Gruden deal to go through apparently and had his little lap dog working on Schiano the whole time.

Now will the other big money guys follow through with their threat to pull funding.

Currie needs to be fired, but it wouldn’t do any good because another Haslam puppet will get the job.

#haslamforprison

OK - got that. Still don't understand how the other boosters could be surprised by something that has happened in the past, several times.

Actually, you need to follow this thread back about 5 weeks ago and catch up.

What I heard from my insider was that Ms. Davenport has told Currie not to bring her any more names because her answer remains no and will not change until Currie gives her his 2 week notice....TTFWIW :)

How much I would love if this had any truth to it. I'm hanging on by a thread with this downward spiral!

I am told that UT AD John Currie made an offer to Jeff Brohm that Brohm accepted. Currie then asked the chancellor to approve the offer — buyout included — and chancellor said no. So Currie went back to Brohm with lesser offer and Brohm said no. So here we are.
"Hey Jimmy go with it. That will pressure Bev"

What you are seeing right now is a very high stakes and public game of Chicken. Haslam/Currie in one car and OB Boosters in the other. Haslam wants to force in a bad coach and the other is trying to prevent it. Haslam would rather burn UT down than to lose.

I've had some folks tell me that didn't believe that Gruden was even in play say they now do believe he was. They think there is folks sabotaging Currie to turn the tables. Heck if it's true I am all for it. UT has got to get under good leadership that puts us first in all aspects. Once we do that the hire will be easy. UT has everything except leaders that have UT's best interest at heart, right now their interest are the number 1 priority. We have to get regime change.
