Every Tennessee resident needs to email their representative that you're tired of the backroom dealings that the Haslams are pulling and there should be zero chance that Bill Haslam ever becomes president of the university. I had a thought yesterday. It might be off the wall, but maybe Haslam becoming president wouldn't be so bad. Once that family is quite literally in the chain of command of the university, rather than in the shadows pulling strings, maybe it'll be a lot harder for them to hide their incompetence and they'll be forced to back off.

Morris might be an OK coach but I severely doubt he could make us elite. It's a 7-5, 8-4 kinda hire. Which is fine I guess. He's a 60 year old decent DC who Hyams had to cite 50 year old men he recruited. He was an utter failure as a head coach and already has some issues with pressure apparently. Brohm isn't coming. Pruitt is maybe a decent option, but in what way is he a better fit than Tee? Idk who else is even an option. Norvell looks like he's headed to Arky. I can't get behind the Kiffin thing. He's fun, I loved that season, but that dude doesn't have an ounce of loyalty in him and is a major recruiting violation waiting to happen.

Give me Tee or I'll be even more of a casual fan than I was this year (I realize no one cares). Went to every home game and quite a few away games for five years straight before this season in which I didn't attend a game. Quit watching most of our games around half time bc accepting what we are now is just disappointing. Zero excitement, complete incompetence. Bring me Tee or I'm out. Barring an out of the blue hire of the Gundy caliber.

If a coach can make SMU 7-5, what could he do at Tennessee. Probably well IF the dysfunction in the AD and admin would get fixed. If that is not fixed in short order, we will be lucky to be relevant anytime soon.

I was about to post something about this being the final straw and the Haslams being forced out is inevitable... But no. They actually aren't going anywhere.

Other rich boosters love UT football but they don't care about it enough to step on the toes of a family of billionaires that includes the governor.

They're rich. They have plenty of things to do on college football Saturdays. They'll let us go 10-26 over the next three years and hope we get a better coach in 2020.

I bought basketball tickets for the first time yesterday, looks like Im changing sports. Guess that means Ill have to move over to the bball forum. We had a great run guys. Ill miss you all.

No, that gives them more of a strangle hold on the university. It would definitely become the University of Haslam.

This really isn't funny anymore. Our AD look like a pack of idiots and no one wants to come here. Wasn't Bahama John some top ranked AD at Kstate? This guy couldn't manage a Radio Shack... seriously.
We will not get a good coach at this point, we are poison. Any good coach is being told not to come near us.
This seriously could be the end of our program... so thanks Butch, Currie, and Haslam.
I am truly embarrassed to be a Vol right now.

Willie Taggart makes WAY too much sense. He would be perfect and all of us have been screaming to get him. That is precisely why we will not. They won't even go there. They will spend 3 mil and get some stupid losing coordinator.

We could stabilize with Les Miles. We could throw money at Taggart, Brohm, or Leach. We could go take a chance on Tee.

There are other options besides trotting out Kevin Steele and surrendering.
