How has Currie not resigned yet? You know this is killing his ego. Currie has become the Butch Jones of ADs. Haslam holding him in place, facing public humiliation, to get a coach then he will be discarded.

After being hired Currie did some positive things. I believe he also schemed the boosters, along with Haslam's help. He even had me and several other posters fooled that he was running a tight and brilliant coaching search. His arrogance and connection to Haslam scared me, but by all accounts things were going the way of popular vote. Then Sunday happened and true colors were shown.

Because unfortunately they do not care as much as we do, and they likely agree with the Haslams.

As I said earlier, this is beyond Gruden. I can only speak for myself, but this thread is less about Gruden and more about a fanbase standing up and saying change has to happen and we will do everything we can to make it happen.

I think Currie has just done what he was told to do. Blindly. Without thought as to the consequences. I think he is a puppet and he knows it. He is a weak AD for sure and incompetent for the job here. I don't really think he has an agenda other than to follow directions.

However it has gotten him in a very bad place career wise and in the court of public opinion. I think he probably tries now to get a decent coach hired, then starts looking for another job someplace else. Probably as far away from here as he can get.

If you guys really want to get rid of Haslam, expose the truth about Gruden. Have Gruden come out and say he had agreed to be the next coach, signed an MOU, but Currie, Haslam, and Davenport pulled a fast one and hired Schiano behind the other boosters back (Ergen Group). That’s the only way you will get all VFL’s on your side. It would shut the media up and turn the narrative to the inept administration who is killing UT Football. After reading though multiple Gruden threads, that appears to be the narrative.

Yep and once again, we have people running this like a company who have less passion and concern for their product, both academically and athletically, than we the consumers. It's a sad day. But, no matter how sad, it's less painful because this has been the status quo for too long.

From my understanding it's actually Big Jim Haslam, the dad of the crook, that's pulling the strings. The guy who taught the guy to be awful at running a sports team and how to be a bad crooked business owner.
