Agreed on PM not really have any idea how good a HC Tee would be. I think he just sees other Much more qualified coaches ahead of him.

Completely disagree that His experience is like kirbys. Kirby had NFL experience along with 8 years as a coordinator for the greatest coach of all time. Tee still isn't a real coordinator with all the play calling responsibility
You think Dabo calls plays? Head coaches aren’t supposed to call plays. That’s what loser control freaks like Butch Jones do. Guys that feel like they have to prove they’re the smartest in the room when really they’re the dumbest. As a head coach you’re supposed to be a manager and recruiter. He played big boy football and he’s been coaching big boy football for a while now. He could also easily call Fulmer and ask for advice. He knows he has to surround himself with smart, talented coaches. Hire him and let him prove it.

"Sources have told me within the past hour to watch for Hue Jackson's name regarding the Vols coaching job in the coming days"

-Hyams

Jk

I'd consider it. I'm willing to overlook his Browns record because no one could win there. Didn't he want the job at one point during one of our searches?

Fulmer
Position coach: 14 years
OC: 2 years and change

Tee
Position coach/ passing game coordinator: 9 years
OC: 2 years

Not seeing a huge difference here

Step 1: Clean up AD. Keep Haslam away from any and all decisions. Either fire Currie or make him solely in charge of the financial aspect of this job and let Fulmer be in charge of all hiring with input from Peyton. Cant sell jack squat to any coach if they know you are dysfunctional.

Step 2: Have Peyton/Fulmer call Kevin Sumlin. Offer him 6-7 million a year. Tell him to/help him find a defensive coordinator who is not way past his prime i.e. Chief. Once this is accomplished we can expect 9 wins minimum each year.

Under ordinary circumstances, I would not hire a fired SEC coach. These are no ordinary times. Sumlin with a respectable DC would be dangerous. Somebody with the know how and ability put this in the ear of the higher ups or get Vol Twitter on it. Something. Lets stop the madness and get back to being Tennessee for goodness sake!

Remember when Currie told Martinez that if he didn’t have a coach in place by Dec. 20th that he’d be fired?

Let’s hope coaches keep saying no and this thing drags out lol. :)

Or we could just fire him now but we know that won’t happen.

Huh???

Jones never called plays here.

The point is Tee has never been a full fledged coordinator like nearly every successful head coach has been at one point in time

The biggest difference is Fulmer never had to build much. He inherited a program on the rise, very stable with coaches in place. Tee would basically have to build from scratch.

Okay, everyone bombard Currie's email with Tee.

Make the fans happy, keep your damn job. Kevin steel is hired there will be six people in the stands. Not going to sell any green weenies that way.

Lmao yes butch did and you’re incredibly naive if you think he didn’t have a massive hand in offensive play calling. And again he doesn’t have to call plays as head coach. He just has to hire good coordinators

Debate all you want, but neither Tee nor Kiffin will be serious contenders in this search. For obvious reasons.

Tee apparently has at least some staff lined up already. I don't see him having any trouble filling one out.

Dude you are lost. Butch was never our play caller.

This is a rebuild job and Tee wouldn't be cut out for it. Not even a slight against the man, but he would just be in over his head from Day 1. And in 2-3 years, undoubtedly, the fans screaming his name right now will be ready to run him out of town when his Tennessee ties and national championship ring aren't enough to win games here.
