I honestly am on board with making Hoke interim and trying again next year. I don't like the idea of hiring a google coach that's going to be fired in 3 years, with yet another hefty buyout.

I am on board the Tee train. Nobody wants to touch us with a 10 ft pole. Tee had potential and loves the university. That is all we can hope for at this point. Pay the man and get him a staff. Let Phil mentor him on selecting the right folks to bring in around him and let's ride.

Every time it's boosters not happy boosters upset who cares anymore. Obviously them being upset doesn't get a single thing accomplished. So they just get super upset and then let Currie keep on keeping on?

Clearly money isn't the issue. If we were willing to give Gundy 7 million a year then we should be able to offer that or more to anybody but nobody wants to work for a loser like Currie. I'd throw 6 to 7 million at Leach but even he would turn us down.

According to LWSVOL on tos, he doesnt think firing Currie will do anything but make things worse. Says coaches are onto the dysfunction of our whole administration including boosters. Says coaches want to know whomtomtrust and they don't think they can trust anyone. Says the whole coaching community is on to it.

Maybe at the end of the day this is God's way of putting Tee on the Hill and letting us all party as we say eff it.

I mean I could watch a bad Tee Martin team a hell of a lot easier than a Steel, Bobo, etc.

Wes nailed it. I'm quickly transitioning from angry to not caring after reading that a solo Currie was our closer for Gundy.

It was reported today he has his coordinators lineup up. If we knew they were both very strong it would be easier to get behind him. I have to assume chief is one of them. Wouldn't shock me if JayG is the other

I'm sad. I am genuinely sad.

This isn't just about football. This is my school. I graduated from Tennessee. Tennessee is where I was set on the path to becoming a professor, where I had mentors and friends guiding me to what eventually became my career. My older brother went here. My mother and father went here. My aunt went here. My grandmother went here. My great-grandmother used to go to games when Neyland was roaming the sidelines. This is about pride, pride in Knoxville, pride in your state, pride in your university.

And it's all being flushed down the toilet because of egos and rank incompetence.

That this has happened to my beloved Volunteers, to my beloved Knoxville and my beloved east Tennessee, makes me absolutely sick.

If I knew we were going to end up with Kevin Steele, I would've just kept Butch Jones.

However, they will know that Currie won't be their AD. Currie is gone in the short term anyway. It's inevitable. May as well do it now.

I loved Morris when he was a top dog OC at Clemson. This is who we need to hire at this point if we really can't throw money around and get a bigger name. He has done well at SMU and he is a good football coach. Better hope it is him and not Steele. I like Kevin but he is not a head football coach. Better get some great AC's and recruiters.
