Was it true that Peyton liked the Schiano hire and was good with it? Also, my pops in Knoxvegas called me and told me that Hyams was saying the fanbase screwed up by revolting the Schiano hiring and that there was nothing legit about the accusations against Schiano. Is that also true?

It might be true, or it might not. He hasn't been publicly vetted since the accusation came to light. But even the hint of such an accusation without plenty of time to let the public chew on it was a recipe for disaster.

The guy may have done nothing, but you've got to get that cleared out publicly before you go hiring him at a major college program. That's why there was a huge backlash.
