It’s funny people come in here and don’t understand why we’re still here and I can’t understand how people are putting together Kiffins staff.

I just want to scream wake up!!! This is so much bigger than just the coach but it would just fall on deaf ears.

This is my fear....we have this moment of clarity and coming together only to have it fall apart because we’re worried about a coach and not the cancer.

In the end this coaching search no longer matters. Whatever coach they are able to scrape up will not be able to assemble a staff worth a damn. By the time he's given a few years too scrap it out with Vandy and Mizzou for worst team in the SEC status them and only then will we be able to make a hire that points is back to an upward trajectory.

Hopefully by then the cancer will have been cut out of the booster and AD side. Don't hold your breath though. I don't think the Haslams are going anywhere.

Well the fans won't be either except to their recliners to laugh at Tennessee's stupid administration. If they keep Currie they can kiss my arse, if folks with influence don't demand his ouster and pull funds they are part of the problem too. Not addressing the root of the problem isn't going to change nothing but lost more fans further. Tennessee could change the perception in a heartbeat if they would just grow a pair. Until Haslam stays out of searches involving key UT positions they are screwed. Haslam in no way shape or form is a good decision maker. The country knows it, the entire state knows it, but UT administration can't see it or won't face it. What a disgrace. Somebody at UT make a stand and demand the madness stop.

Send your email every day VolNation. My email to:

Dr. DiPietro,

I've been a loyal Vol fan for over 50 years. I've supported every Vol coach in my lifetime unconditionally. That will no longer be the case if Davenport and Currie are allowed to orchestrate the next hire. I spent thousands going to UT football games this year. I have traveled to support the team as far away as California. I will renounce my support for the team if Davenport and Currie are allowed to continue in their positions. They have damaged the University's reputation immeasurably with this latest fiasco, and I'm embarrassed by their arrogance and lack of respect for the fanbase. Fans will not tolerate their incompetence. They are puppets controlled by Haslam. The three are cancers. They have to be removed for UT to recover. NOW. Have the courage to do the right thing.

Respectfully,

They don’t respect us so why extend the same sentiments?

You should blame yourself. I turned it off the second I heard the words "Tennessee" and "fiasco." You knew it was a hit piece.

Just wanted to see how bad it was going to be....

It was as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Propping up Schiano the victim, and placing blame squarely on the TN fanbase.

I swear to God I need to take a break from this.

Exactly what I thought .. thank you for the confirmation! So it looks like if a prior MOU was signed prior to Schiano, Currie is both a PR and a legal liability. Giving credence to the justification of the 'fired with cause' talk.

Or a full on contract was signed..like multiple people on here have stated

How much would we pay in damages if you had to estimate on what the average contract would be?

Easiest to calculate would be treble damages. Multiply actual damages times 3.

In my example with knuck, you would have to figure out what his actual damages are. Knuck quit his job. How much was he making? How much will it cost him to find a new job? Will he make less money at the new job? What about costs of relocating? Add all the actual costs up and multiply by 3 for treble damages.

I just saw SVP's take on this debacle and he pretty much called out everyone. The fans for expecting too much...but left open that our motives may have been leaning on the PSU stuff. Currie..for not realizing what the outrage would be from the fan base....but also mentioned how Florida got turned down twice...but eventually made a good hire with Mullen. Basically the gist was we all want a big time hire and think we deserve one..but there aren't enough home run hires to be had. That was my take on the piece.

"Guys....I know I said Gruden had signed and it was a done deal...due to my secret sources..who I can't name due to the sensitive nature of this...but it WAS a done deal which inexplicably got screwed up by someone I cannot name...but this is a high level person close to the big boosters and AD. I wish I could tell you who messed this up but I have been sworn to secrecy. I know exactly what went down due to my close association with the power brokers at UT. Man..if you guys only knew the real story. But I do...and I'll just leave it at that". -Classic know nothing troll BULLSPIT.

Get out!
