Figured he wouldnt come here.

Time to focus on Brohm, Tee, Norvel, Mack Brown, Strong, Sumlin or God forbid Lane Kiffin.

Currie has really put us in a hole.

Witch Doctor say *cough cough Kiffin? lol. Witch Doctor chuckle a little. Witch Doctor also remember saying the media was going to rake us over the coals if this turned into a coaching "search". Witch Doctor been saving you a seat on the Lane train. Welcome aboard. lol

He is comfortable finishing his career in mediocrity...wanted him, but we don't need someone who is content with average

He’s almost 65 and he’s content where he is for cripe’s sake. Let the man retire the way he wants. Nothing average about that. He’s just not the right fit for us.

We should not be reaching out to him!!!!!!!
This is the most important hire, and all they have been and still trying to do is find someone that is not expensive homerun hire!!!!

Yeah i dont want to be, but i think this currie thing as put us in a bad spot. He would still be my last choice, but now is not a time for ordinary measure. The only thing that will solve this is winning. He needs to have a top quality staff to keep him out of trouble. We shall see.

Don’t blame him and probably best decision for him. Also, probably best decision for UT

Absolutely agree with you. I very much appreciate everything that cut did here. He's called some of the greatest in vol history. Bet I don't think he could go to to toe in the SEC. Sorry just my opinion...

Although I don’t want him either, it’s kind of sad when a former Vol, semi-legend, curmudgeon, doesn’t want our gig and instead wants to stay at Duke, where football dreams go to die.

Lovely.........
Duke has an intelligent fan base.

Witch Doctor dont think it will (??) but I do think at this point we should strongly pursue the ideal. There no one really wants this job. (unless a outside up and comer or someone like Schiano a nest egg..four years a few million and retire)

thats just you hoping. The last thing we want is to fire Tee a couple years from now because he wasnt ready. Let him earn his stripes.

Nope, I legitimately think he’s ready. Fantastic recruiter calling plays at a big time school. Get him a good D coordinator, and realize this gig is going to take more than ‘a couple of years from now’ to turn around.
