Official Jon Gruden Thread XLIV

Yep Schiano was Currie's guy the entire time, and realizing that is quite the punch to the gut
how in the wide world of sports could haslam and Currie be so tone deaf and dense to think that we'd be cool with this? Not to mention PM

Bull. This whole thing that went down with Schiano had absolutely nothing to do with his past. The truth is that Tennessee fans didn't want him because we felt as though he was not a good enough of a coach to coach Tennessee. And that is probably true. That is why fans revolted. We were angry because it wasn't Gruden, Petersen, Patterson, etc. I have no problem saying, "We don't think GS is good enough of a coach for Tennessee," but to make all of this about an issue that you and I have absolutely no clue about and every court/lawyer/person involved has given passing remarks to GS in regards to this issue is shameful. Let's not make ourselves out to be heroes on some moral high ground when all it really was was that we wanted a better coach.

Wrong.

Don't want anyone that might be connected to the PSU kiddie-diddler connected to TN.

Period.

Suave, man, don't go off on our lads. They're innocent in all this. And just because Jarrett's dad played for Schiano back in the day, so likes the guy, that doesn't mean we need to jump on his son. Okay? He's a good kid, and may grow into a helluva QB with good coaching. Let's give his dad a little slack because friend.

Pass..thanks for consulting me though👍🏽 Go vols

To all the people that want to come in here and positive negative crap. Go somewhere else. There are a million other websites out there. No one wants to hear you, especially with everything going on around our University.

I don't contribute much, but this is a place where we can come to laugh, vent, share ideas, tell stories, and be Volunteer fans. I enjoy reading everyone's comments and the camaraderie. If you have nothing positive to add, then don't say anything. Everyone that visits this thread often enough knows what was said in the past and has moved on from it. Positivity and unity are what is needed now to get the outcome we all want.

As far as I'm concerned anyone that is a Vol fan is family. Whether the information shared was correct or not, the bashing needs to stop. It's time for the family to band together and support our team and University.

Why in the hell are coaching still being contacted by the AD? Events over the past 36 hours obviously show they cannot be trusted.

I doubt it was Currie who reached out... he should be tied to a tree outside of Cade’s Cove with an apple in his mouth...

Yep, we all need to do what we did today again tomorrow

I just hope everyone still has the fight left in them

Yeah, can't take the foot off the gas now, that's what they're hoping.

Sunday = rage
Monday = pissed
Tuesday = seething
Wednesday = simmering
Thursday = what's for breakfast

They only have to wait a few more days to bend us over and **** us dry

Absolutely. Everyone needs to send emails and make phone calls every day until Currie and Davenport are removed from office. The cancer has to be removed before the program can recover. If the cancer remains, we all lose.

I think it has been Haslam from beginning... not just this hire.

Did Gruden announce on MNF yet? My source Beav told me it was a done deal

Did we seriously offer the White Carp 3.5M per year? What a joke. If that is the level of money we are putting out, get ready to embrace the suck for the foreseeable future.

No source, it was posted on the main forum.
