TIFWIW

Jimmy Hyams just said he has confirmed a few things.

UT gauged Chip Kelly's and Scott Frost's interest and didn't get assuring feedback. After that, their list was in order.

1. Mullen
2 Schiano
3 Brohm

I'm so skeptical that we even contacted Mullen if that MOU with Schiano was signed two weeks ago.

This gif, while great will be forever tainted by this coaching search fiasco.

As always, if I'm wrong it's because I'm no insider. If I'm right it's because I'm an insider.

Something changed at the last minute. Big Jim farted and cleared the room and the Haslams backed Currie into a corner and poked him in the chest with their fingers until he hired who they wanted.

Give me Brohm with a top notch DC, and we're back at it in 2-3 years.

Plus, Brohm has some good QBs to work with. It'll be fun again.

The Volshevik Revolution

This one. The real problem the media has with us right now is that for once a fan base rose up and took control of their own destiny. We seized power if only for a moment and they don't know how in the hell to deal with that. It scared the ish out of them.

I don’t get this. There are many examples of coordinators going straight to big jobs and being successful. Dang, Dabo was a receivers coach. Why couldn’t Tee, who also happens to be the best recruiter in the country, do the same at TN?

I'm certainly not saying it couldn't happen. I just like more data points. His resume is a bit thin for me. I'm just thinking in percentages. But I think the resumes of Campbell and Frost were too thin. At this point though, I'd love to have either.

Again, if they go with Tee, I'm down. I'd echo that it'd suck to fire him in 3 to 5 if it went south.

Man Brohm will be a lot of fun. I’m smiling thinking about it. Will be so entertaining and I think we’ll win a lot of games

I know I said earlier that I wasn't supportive of giving Tee the job. However, I did have a thought that made me feel a bit better.

Since he'd be new at it, he would be open to changes, adaptations, that could make him better. To me, that is an advantage over established coaches who think their systems are "infallible."

Imo Brohm is going to turn us down. He already makes right at 3.5 mil and we aren't going to pay him enough to jump into this circus.
